LECD - La Cerdanya Airport
La Cerdanya Aerodrome (LECD) is a well-known spot among gliders pilots for its perfect conditions for Thermal Flights. But you can also find hot air balloons, a Skydiving company and a flight school. The airfield is located 3586ft AMSL in a mountain valley between the Pre-Pyrenees and Pyrenees, covered by snow in winter and very close to Andorra-La Seu Airport (LESU) and Girona-Costa Brava Airport (LEGE). When the Tramontana wind hits the aerodrome, you can find heavy turbulence at mid altitudes...
