You can start your flight to any spawning point available. I suggest the parking at the Cascade Glade at the entrance of the valley or from the nearest airport at the Mariposa-Yosemite(KMPI-There is an available free airport scenery of it If you are on PC by one of my favorite dev,"vbazillio". Check POI markers for specific areas that has been significantly improved. Parking/spawning points sometimes only appear after you zoom in to the fictional airport YSMT. You can land mostly anywhere. I have put collisions on most of the models. LOD is still a big problem for SU2. The waterfalls sometimes doesn't appear at first unless its already loaded by the sim. The workaround is to zoom in at the world map to the POIs (specially the waterfall areas and let them appear first before starting the flight)
