The American Champion Scout (8GCBC) by Hangar Studios 713 is a highly detailed backcountry aircraft available in multiple configurations and cockpit layouts. Choose from 26” bush wheels, 35” tundra wheels, or amphibious floats—each offered with both Analog and Glass avionics packages. The 35” tundra wheel variant is also available with the high-performance Denali 210 HP engine upgrade, giving bush pilots even more power for rugged STOL operations. Every variant comes with 25 unique Scout-inspired liveries designed to showcase its versatility. Hangar Studios 713, the developer behind the acclaimed Super Decathlon, brings the same passion for authenticity and immersion into the Scout. This aircraft is built for sim pilots who want to experience the true character of bush flying, whether it’s a short hop over a mountain pass or a remote water landing deep in the wilderness. Packed with realism, the Scout includes fully animated doors and windows with environmental sound bleed, a custom aerodynamic drag system that reacts to open doors, windows, or attached cargo pods, and multiplayer-compatible FX such as dust trails, land impacts, fully custom smoke FX, and individual water spray with float operations realism. The fuel system has been carefully designed to encourage proper flying technique, requiring pilots to keep the slip ball centered in flight while also simulating passive fuel transfer when parked on uneven slopes or during crosswind taxiing. This adds a layer of operational depth rarely seen in light aircraft. Both cockpit styles are faithfully recreated: the Analog version includes GNS430/GTN650 options for classic VFR and IFR flying, while the Glass version features the G3X Touch with G5 backup, AS430 GPS, and AS307 autopilot integration. With over 35 saved aircraft states and a wide range of livery options, every flight feels different, and every adventure feels alive. This aircraft is fully compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. While it has not yet been rebuilt natively for MSFS 2024, all major features work as intended and only minor quirks may be present due to ongoing sim updates. The Scout is also ESTOL capable for competition operations, with full support in MSFS 2020 today. Looking ahead, as MSFS 2024 becomes the standard platform, the Scout is already prepared for the next phase of development to ensure those operations remain fully supported in the native environment. The Scout captures the essence of backcountry aviation with its short takeoff and landing performance, rugged construction, and immersive systems, making it the perfect aircraft for anyone ready to explore the wild and untamed edges of the simulator
