In 2025, Milan Bergamo Airport handled 16,937,976 passengers and 24,531 tonnes of cargo, confirming its position as Italy’s third-busiest airport after Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa. For the 2026 summer season, the airport announced a network of 152 routes served by 23 airlines across 44 countries, underlining its importance as one of Europe’s leading airports for short- and medium-haul connectivity.
The airport is especially well known for its strong low-cost presence, with Ryanair as its dominant carrier and one of its main operational bases, supported by a large and extensive route network.
