Next to Zaraza, Calabozo and San Juan de Los Morros (the state capital), Valle de la Pascua is one of the most important cities of the Guárico state and the more important economically. The vicinity of the city was the scene of the Battle of Valle de la Pascua in February 1814.
Valle de La Pascua Airport "Tomas Montilla" is the city’s public airport located, mainly serving Valle de La Pascua and nearby towns. It has a 1. 5 km long and 50 m wide Runway. Previously it had flights from the extinct Avensa to the city of Charallave and recently from Albatros Airlines to the city of Maracay.
This Airport operates solely under VFR rules, there’s no RWY lighting nor usable NAV Aids, the VOR Station of the Airport is currently Unusable, operate only during day in VMC weather conditions.
