Cornwall Newquay Airport EGHQ (MSFS has it incorrectly listed as 'St Mawgan AB'), situated in the picturesque county of Cornwall, UK, is a vibrant hub of both commercial aviation and aerospace innovation. Nestled near the renowned coastal town of Newquay, the airport serves as the gateway to one of England's most beloved tourist destinations, providing convenient access to Cornwall's stunning beaches, rugged cliffs, and charming villages.
History:
Cornwall Newquay Airport started as RAF St Mawgan EGDG, an airbase for the Royal Air Force during World War II. The airfield was primarily used for anti-submarine patrols and as a Coastal Command base. RAF St Mawgan continued to be an important base for maritime reconnaissance and search and rescue operations. The United States Navy used the base for anti-submarine warfare during the Cold War. The Air base was also home to classic British Nimrod during the 1980s,1990s and 2000s. In the 1980s saw the construction of the Hardened Aircraft Shelters (HAS) which were primarily used to house and protect the United States Air Force aircraft. Specifically F-111, these shelters were designed to safeguard the aircraft from potential Soviet attacks during the Cold War. In 2008 the airport was rebranded as Newquay Cornwall Airport and officially separated from RAF St Mawgan. Commercial operations were expanded, and investment was made to upgrade facilities to support increased passenger traffic. In 2019 Cornwall Airport Newquay was recognized as the fastest-growing airport in the UK in terms of passenger numbers, reflecting its increasing popularity. In 2021 The UK Space Agency announced that Cornwall Airport Newquay would be the site of Spaceport Cornwall, with plans for horizontal satellite launches in partnership with Virgin Orbit and in 2022 Spaceport Cornwall saw its first operational activities, marking a significant milestone in the airport's history and its role in the UK's space industry.
Today:
The airport boasts modern facilities designed to cater to the needs of travellers and businesses alike. The terminal building offers a range of amenities, including retail outlets, dining options, and car rental services. Cornwall Newquay Airport offers a variety of flight services, including scheduled domestic and international flights, seasonal charters, and private aviation options. Key routes connect Cornwall with major UK cities such as London, Manchester, and Edinburgh, as well as popular holiday destinations in Europe. The airport is served by several airlines, including Ryanair, British Airways, and Loganair, providing travellers with a range of options for their journeys.

The seven seas of the virtual world of Microsoft Flight Simulator have gained a new exploration vehicle: Walk entire Super Tanker, a Type 56 Suezmax class ship measuring 274 meters long and more than 50 meters high made of pure steel. The ship was designed to transport crude oil and its capacity exceeds 1 million barrels on mainly long-haul routes.
The ship is formidable and despite its size you can control it at sea without difficulty, as the steering controls are optimized for joysticks on Desktop and Xbox platforms. The ship has a command bridge fully modeled and detailed according to real-world ships of its class, with functional GPS and tablet to control functions such as high beams, anchors from buoys and a crude oil transfer system from SPM buoys.
Still on the subject of detail, the entire exterior of the ship was carefully modeled, recreating the smallest details while respecting an acceptable FPS limit for a pleasant simulation. You will have at your disposal 17 liveries from real-world companies, some of which operate the Suezmax ship in reality, and others are adaptations of other classes. There are also working crew modeled with a high level of detail on the upper deck in poses representing various activities.
If you are looking for a highly detailed ship for pleasant sailings in different ports or marine regions around the world, this vehicle was made for you.
There are a good number of liveries available on a ship that behaves well in all weather. It is possible to activate anchors or SPM buoys after turning off the engines and it is recommended to activate the active pause to take a closer look at the crew on deck.
Try it!
RESOURCES:
- Multifunction Tablet
- Easy Cold Start
- Improved navigation physics
- Functional displays with GPS and navigation
- Detailed interior
- Start anywhere in the world over water
- Night lights
- 17 different paints in the livery menu
- Sounds
- Friendly fps
HOW TO INSTALL:
Locate the Microsoft Flight Simulator installation folder
You need to find and open the folder called "Community"
Copy the folder "marinerm-tanker-ship-suezmax" you just extracted to the Community folder.
Start the game and the "Marine RM Tanker Ship" will be in its hangar ready to sail!
HOW TO PLAY:
Start the game anywhere in the world on the water or seaplane track, put the engine at 100% and wait a few seconds (10 to 15 seconds for full engine functionality) for the boat to start moving. Water trails start with the slowest speed you are on. The boat have a reverse engine.
Use the aileron controls to turn left and right. The rudder controls simulate axial movement control moving the ship sideways to the left or right and do not activate the steering wheel animation, only the aileron control activates the steering wheel animation, as it is the main control method.
Use the multifunction tablet to activate lights and other boat functions, such as mooring and SPM oil transfer and this controls are only available when the boat is turned off.
In MSFS 2024 your character will spawn in the oil transfer engine room, in the middle of the ship. Walk forward, turn right into the hallway and go up the stairs at the end of the hallway to reach the ship's deck. It is possible to walk around the entire ship.
Ship control has been optimized to represent enjoyable gameplay. In this sense, the ship's acceleration, its maximum speed (established at 30 knots to facilitate those operating long-distance transfers) and turning capacity were designed for those who want to have fun, despite having in their hands a ship fully detailed and modeled as in the real life. The current water physics is not suitable for a high-level simulation for vessels although there is the intention that this will be worked on when there is an improvement in the game's physical capabilities.
Use the power lever to control acceleration or reverse and the left and right aileron controls to make course changes. It is possible to use the aileron up and down to accelerate the ship over short distances, as well as use the rudder to move the ship laterally to facilitate operation in ports, docks or regions with restricted maneuvering, but keep in mind that the limits water/ground conditions defined by the Flight Simulator environment cause false grounding in seaplanes or any type of water vehicle - as well as passing under bridges or navigating in cities with photogrammetry - this is not a product defect.
Use the support email to speak directly to me about questions, suggestions or any problems, there is a Discord channel for those who want to share more about ships and boats in Microsoft Flight Simulator and there is an FAQ on my website for additional questions.

Virtavia Handley-Page Hampden for MSFS
The Handley-Page Hampden was an aircraft that was very nearly obsolete when it went into service. One of the first British bombers to see service in World War, it carried a payload similar to the Wellington and Whitley, but was much faster and more maneuverable. It was the newest design of these three, sporting a very slender fuselage and fixed guns. It was indeed faster and more agile but the defensive armament was inadequate and was later updated. Known as the "Flying Suitcase" due to its narrow fuselage and cramped crew positions, the Hampden was nearly as fast as the Blenheim but carried 4 x the load twice as far. It was initially used in daylight raids until combat losses dictated an improvement in defensive armament as well as a switch to night ops. At night, the Hampden continued with success in raids on Germany and particiapted in the first "1,000 bomber" raid before being withdrawn in 1942.

#WIP Toolbar which is planned to be common across our current and future addons.
Arrestors
(Works with any plane with a tailhook whilst on any runway)
The arrestor slows you down to zero if you are on any runway above 30knots with the tailhook down until you release the tailhook or go more the 1m off runway. Base Arrestors will be removed soon as causing too many issues. Any future ANSMedia projects will. It is recommended you always use our arrestor button anyway as it will always slow you down if you are on the runway and with the tailhook deployed (it will release if you bounce or go off the end). Holds aircraft in position until you retract the tailhook.
It will now detect whether you are needs an ANSMedia Moving Carrier and apply a speed offset to the zero speed.
Animated Arrestorwires are WIP
Currently there are 2 ways the arrestor script is activated. If it detects you have caught a cable on a ansmedia carrier it will activate automatically as long as the toolbar is open. (MOVING CARRIER SUPPORT FOR ADVANCED ARRESTOR WIP). Alternatively you can activate the fake arrestors from the simple Catobar Page which will slow you down if you are on ground with tailhook deployed.
Future Update to Change speedoffset so works with any moving carrier also Planned.
Catapult
Catapult Buttons on Controls Page
ONLY FOR USE ON ANSMEDIA CARRIERS (moving carrier support Also WIP)
1. Press Either aft or forward Carriers button. It will then direct you onto the catapult line.
2. Press Button again when Lined up and message reads Click to lineup. Script will then fix any small inaccuracies in your lineup. It will then Initiate A hold script to stop any forward velocity.
3. Press Press Button Again to activate the Launch script when Click to Launch is Shown. You will be then be Launched 5 Seconds After your throttle is set above 80%. Toolbar Will then show Launch Complete
Catapult Buttons on Simplified Catobar Page
(works on Any runway/carrier that is not moving aswell as ANSMedia Moving Locations).
Speed Offset and Direction inputs are planned so this will work on all carriers.
There are 2 buttons. One for standard sized catapults (90m) and one for short Catapults (55m). The front catapult on the QE arkroyal proposal is a shorter one (55m) for drones and fighters only and accelerates quicker hence why the sort option is Included.
Simply press The button When on ground and below 30knots. This will initiate a Forward speed hold of zero (+speedoffset if your on an ANSMedia moving carrier). It will then Initiate the launch 5 seconds after your Throttle is set above 80%.
Catapult Script Terminating velocity is 80m/s (155knots) for all Versions
Pushback
(Works with any plane when on ground with idle Throttle)
Pushback of max 10knots - where velocity and turning rate are directly proportional to joystick position not just on-off speed and pointing change. It checks whether your throttle is below 10% and whether you are on the ground to make sure it doesn't trigger in the air and stops the script if you say fall off a carrier or increase your throttle. If you manually press stop pushback it will engage parking brake. If it stops the pushback script due to being off the ground, throttle position or reset being pressed it will not engage the parking brake.
The pushback also has anti-tip functionality aswell for both roll and pitch. It will now detect whether you are needs an ANSMedia Moving Carrier and apply a speed offset to the zero speed.
Future Features:
Custom User inputted Speed offset and direction for use on non-Ansmedia moving carriers is Planned. (This also would allow you to set a taxi cruise speed)
Custom Joystick Deadzone values and Max Speed is Also Planned.
Because of the Anti-tip functionality It is recommended you use this on Aircraft carrier Lifts. MSFS ground position changes are slow so will cause wheels to judder on lifts. Parking brakes will hold you aswell but Anti-tip should reduce Aircraft body movement and will make judders less visible especially in cockpit view.
Offset
A simple offset has been added which allows you to use sliders to add an offset in heading and velocity to the pushback and simple catobar scripts. This is primarily for use with non ANSMedia moving carriers but can also be used as a cruise control for pushback.
Additional FAQ:
The toolbar is planned to remain free.
We will not however allow forks or publishing altered version of our toolbar without express permission from us.
More features, Including non carrier features, are planned and this is a dependency of our carrier Project

And if you are fortunate enough to be headed that way, chances are you'll pass through the island's primary airport, Lihue Airport.
Airport is located about 1. 5 miles east of the town of Lihue, along Kauai's southeast coast. Visitors consistently give the facility high marks for its ease of navigation, cleanliness, friendly staff, laid-back yet professional atmosphere, and partially open-air design.
LIH's origins date back to 1948 when land was purchased and a runway was constructed. By 1949, limited services were provided, and the terminal was still under construction. Soon thereafter, construction was completed and the terminal was dedicated in January 1950. As soon as it opened, the airport saw a huge spike in passenger traffic that exceeded prior estimates. Just one year later, plans were set in motion to enlarge the facility. By 1955 the airport covered 160 acres and included a restaurant, parking lot, ground transportation, improved runway, hangars, and lighting. Several additions and improvements were made over the next several years. By 1974, as the number of passengers continued to increase, it became evident that the facility was not equipped to meet the demands. In addition, airlines were starting to use larger aircraft, rendering the single runway inadequate. A new runway was dedicated in 1984; its completion also marked the beginning of a modernization plan for the facility, which was soon undertaken. The current terminal was dedicated in 1987. The upgrades also included a new parking lot, enlarged airport roadways, and modernized utility systems. Today, Lihue Airport occupies 879 acres and sees air carrier, general aviation, air taxi, and military operations. Approximately 8,100 passengers per day utilize the facility, most of whom arrive via American, Delta, United, Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Southwest, and WestJet.
While you wait for your flight, be sure to peruse the various display cases and artwork located throughout the terminal. Some of these change periodically, but you can often find information regarding native plant and animal species, books written by various Kauai authors, artwork, and other displays of cultural value. As an added bonus, there is traditional Hawaiian entertainment provided at intervals throughout the day for your listening pleasure. It's the perfect way to either set the mood for your stay on Kauai or say goodbye to the beautiful Garden Island.
