Cincinnati and Louisville are the 2 largest cities on the Ohio River between Pittsburgh and the Mississippi River. The package starts at the Combs-Hehl Bridge just east of Cincinnati through Louisville and updated to extend further west to Cairo where the Ohio joins the Mississippi. The package starts at the Combs-Hehl Bridge just east of Cincinnati through Louisville and updated to extend further west to Cairo where the Ohio joins the Mississippi. A photo showing the area covered is included.
The default bridges have been replaced with 33 individually and accurately modeled bridges with night lighting to realistically represent the real world. Many of these are iconic steel bridges with unique designs. 2 are on the National Historic Register.
The most famous bridge in Cincinnati is the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge opened in 1866 as the longest suspension bridge in the world at that time. Roebling’s most famous bridge is the Brooklyn bridge which then became the longest at that time.
The Dams, Locks and river traffic barges completely missing or submerged in the default are revealed.
Louisville, the largest city in Kentucky, is famous for the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs (POI added), Muhammad Ali, Louisville Slugger, and UPS which operates it’s Worldport Air Hub from Louisville International Airport (KSDF).
Louisville has several bridges of architectural significance. The Big Four Pedestrian Bridge (originally a railroad bridge) has a computer controlled lighting system which allows the public to request a 3 color light scheme of their choosing. The bridge is lit every evening. I have done a Red, Blue, Green configuration for this package.
The new Abraham Lincoln Suspension bridge is completely missing in the sim but the traffic flows as though there was a bridge there. The sim is using mapping from the time when the old bridge had been removed but the new bridge had just started construction. I have put the new bridge in the package but the connecting roads are missing. There were major changes to the road’s spaghetti junction which affected the adjacent Kennedy Memorial bridge. Fixing the road layout for one bridge would ruin the traffic flow for the other. In the package the Abraham Lincoln Bridge is shown accurately but the connecting roads are under construction.
Bridges in the package from east to west along the Ohio are:
Combs-Hehl Bridges (2)
Daniel Carter Beard Bridges (2)
Purple People Pedestrian Bridge
Taylor Southgate Bridge
John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge; Nat. Historic Register
Clay Wade Bailey Bridge
C&O Rail Bridge
Brent Spence Bridge
Cincinnati Southern Rail Bridge
Carroll Lee Cropper Bridge
Markland Dam Locks and Bridge
Milton Madison Bridge
Lewis & Clark Suspension Bridge
Big Four Pedestrian Bridge with light scheme
Abraham Lincoln Suspension bridge.
John F Kennedy Memorial Bridge
George Rogers Clark Memorial Bridge; Nat. Historic Register
14th Street Rail Drawbridge
Ohio Falls Rail Bridge
Ohio Falls dam and river fix
Kentucky and Indiana (K & I) Rail Bridge
Sherman Minton Double Deck Bridge
Matthew Welsh Bridge
Lincoln Trail Bridge
William Natcher Bridge
Owensboro Bridge
The Twin Bridges (2)
Henderson Rail Bridge
Shawneetown Bridge
Irvin Cobb Bridge
Paducah Bridge
Metropolis Rail Bridge.
Note: The 2 Cairo Bridges at the confluence of the Ohio and the Mississippi Rivers are included in the Mississippi South Bridges package.

Kinetic Assistant is a SimConnect utility that covers missing simulation or gameplay elements of the Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020). Desktop application read sim variables and return adjusted values (like speed and rotation) back into the game to simulate some specific conditions, uplift inside of artificial hotspot for example. Also it can insert objects into the game, like AI tow planes.
Currently, these features are available: Winch, Tow, Hotspots, Catapult and Arresting gear, NMEA data exchange. All of them have limitations, so please read the description for each below.
* Kinetic Assistant has ALBATROSS competitions app integrated. All flight plans, weather presets and other kind of data related to race events are property of their authors, you are not eligible to republish them anyhow without author approval.
* Fully compatible aircraft:
DG808S (freeware, available on msfs. touching. cloud)
Discus2C (freeware, flightsim. to).
* Partially compatible aircraft: any native or legacy MSFS glider or carrier based aircraft.
* Hotspots data provided by thermal. kk7. ch and maps. openAIP. net services.
Package includes
* EXE application (installed . NET Framework is required)
* Towplane tracks – can be used on any runway, just choose takeoff direction properly
* Detailed PDF manual
* KineticPanel – MSFS toolbar with navigation and quick control buttons (winch, push, tow), spiral and birds for hotspots, animated ropes and winch vehicle.
Key features
a. Winch is the simplest way to get your glider into the air. You can select rope length and elasticity, winch speed, initial acceleration, rope damage and random failures chances.
b. You can replay the existing towplane route or create your own. Or just ask your friend to tow you on his favorite aircraft (but multiplayer towing has limitations). Available settings: connection point (nose, CG, tail), rope elasticity and damage. Also you can ask your crew to push you to the runway (no animated people though), use control device to move and rotate.
c. Simple replay tool to record towplane and glider flights, then replay single aircraft or several at once.
d. Catapult is a perfect option to take off from a small piece of land or aircraft carrier – set initial speed and prepare for launch. Any aircraft eligible for the catapult.
e. Arrestor gear can be used for aircraft carrier landings or emergency landing training on the usual runway. You can use any aircraft, actual tailhook presence is not required.
f. Hotspots are areas with updraft wind active during daytime, which can hold your glider in the air for a much longer time. You can load real life API hotspots or create your own map in LNM. Hotspots can be used together with native thermals (appear under wide clouds during hot temperature) and ridge lift (reflected wind).
g. You can connect external gliding application (like XCsoar) with MSFS by NMEA protocol to receive basic information about the flight – location, altitude, airspeed etc.
h. You can see other pilots, which uses KineticAssistant or ALBATROSS as well, on the world map
i. You can teleport to any selected location/altitude on the world map immediatelly
f. You can install and load any ALBATROSS Racing flight plan with related weather preset and participate in competition or perform training without need to care about best time.

Lanai Airport (ICAO: PHNY), is a state-owned public-use airport located about 3. 4 miles (6 km) southwest of the central business district of Lanai City, in Maui County, Hawaii. It is the only airport serving the island of Lanai.
An emergency landing strip was established on Lanai in 1919.
In its 1928 Annual Report, the Territorial Aeronautical Commission reported the excellent cooperation of the Hawaiian Pineapple Company, in making a suitable field available for emergency airplane landings on the Island of Lanai. The field was at Leinukalahua, Kaa.
Inter-Island Airways, now Hawaiian Airlines, began operations to Lanai in 1930 with Sikorsky S-38, eight-passenger amphibious planes. The landing field was sod and owned by the Hawaiian Pineapple Company.
In 1944 the Territorial Department of Public Works issued a report proposing to construct a Class IV airport four miles southwest of Lanai City. They proposed construction of a flight strip, with runway, installation of boundary lights, contact lights, range lights, rotating and code beacons, control panel, fencing of the entire field and an access road.
The existing airport was too small for two-engine planes, and the CAA has advised that it is willing to consider an application for a major airport.
A new airport site for Lanai was chosen and on September 18, 1946, Hawaiian Airlines resumed service there using Douglas DC-3s. The field was an unpaved sod strip and as a result was practically unusable in wet weather and almost untenable due to dust and dirt in dry weather. In view of these conditions, air service was not reliable and it was therefore decided to pave the runway and taxiway.
In October 1946 a Master Plan was created which showed a single runway of 4200×600 feet. The Territory also planned to construct an administration and terminal building to make the airport readily available to all inter-island operators.
On April 12, 1948 work was completed on the reconstruction of Lanai Airport. The airport was officially dedicated on July 12.
By 1950 the airport was served regularly by Hawaiian Airlines with twice daily passenger service in two directions and twice weekly freight service. Air mail service was supplied. Trans-Air Hawaii also provided twice weekly air freight service. Additional cargo and non-scheduled flights were made into Lanai by charter air services.
By 1955, the airport consisted of 59 acres of land, and had one paved runway, 3-21, which was 80-feet wide and 3,700-feet long. Scheduled service was provided by Hawaiian Airlines, Ltd. , and Trans-Pacific Airlines, Ltd. The airport included Hawaiian Airlines passenger terminal building, a freight terminal building, a paved runway and warm up areas, paved taxiway and apron, wind socks, field maintenance, and crash and fire protection.
Lanai Airport’s newly extended runway and terminal building project was completed and dedicated in a special ceremony on October 16, 1966. The project also included construction of a taxiway and apron and a new terminal building as well as the relocation of the existing freight terminal building.
Throughout the 1980s, there were minor upgrades to the airport. When the Douglas DC-3 was ultimately replaced by larger aircraft, the airport once again became obsolete.
Construction on the new terminal began in January 1993. The spacious new 15,000 square foot terminal, built to accommodate the growth in tourism to Lanai, was dedicated on April 19, 1994. It was five times larger than the structure it replaced. A new parking area, roadway and landscaping were included.
Pacific Wings began two daily flights between Kahului and Lanai City on March 1, 2000, the next day Island Air suspended its two daily flights between Lanai and Maui due to a shortage of pilots. Now the only commercial airline, Mokulele Airlines, operates Cessna Grand Caravan 208EX aircraft into Lanai.
