In 2030 65% of the North Sea will be an industrial zone. Over 70% of the electricity for countries surrounding the North Sea will be generated by the massive offshore wind parks. The North Sea is the biggest work site on the planet, where ships costing billions of dollars place and remove wind turbines and platforms. Thousands of people work there in often atrocious conditions. What used to be an ‘empty’ sea is now filled with platforms, wind farms and other structures. Aviation plays a huge role in this developing industry. Over 90% of European helicopter traffic is dedicated to the offshore industry.
That is why we believe a scenery covering the North Sea, the English Channel and the Irish sea makes sense. With the simulator fully supporting helicopters, a new territory to explore is available!
All the objects are placed in exactly the correct position using databases collected over many months. The ships are all located where they were on Jan 20, 2022, at 12:00 GMT. This means that every ship is in a ‘logical’ position. So, a cargo ship could be at an anchorage waiting for a port dock to become available, a small fishing vessel going to its fishing ground or a construction ship placing pylons for new wind turbines.
We strongly recommend reading the manual before buying this product, so you are aware of our design decisions and possible limitations. You will find the manual here: https://freeware. aerosoft. com/forum/downloads/Manual_North_Sea. pdf

Bydgoszcz Ignacy Jan Paderewski Airport (IATA: BZG, ICAO: EPBY) (Polish: Port lotniczy im. It lies only 3. 5 km (2. 2 mi) from the city centre and around 50 km from the city of Toruń. It is the eleventh largest airport in Poland in terms of passenger traffic. The airport served 413,245 passengers in 2018. It features one passenger terminal and four runways, the main being 08/26 which is 2,500 m × 60 m (8,202 ft × 197 ft). The Bydgoszcz Airport was established during World War I for the German army. In 1920, the airport was taken over by the Wielkopolska Army and, under the Treaty of Versailles, the airport has served the Polish army ever since. Civil aviation flights commenced in 1929 when LOT Polish Airlines opened connections to Gdańsk, Warsaw and Poznań. These connecting flights operated until 1933. During World War II and in its aftermath, the airport underwent numerous developments, unfortunately the LOT Polish Airlines connecting flights were not reactivated until 1948, and operated from Bydgoszcz until 1981, with a break of over 10 years in the 1960s. The connecting flights to Poznań and Gdańsk yet were suspended. The longest remaining connection was Bydgoszcz to Warsaw. The year 1992 started an eventful period of economic development, including the civil airport in Bydgoszcz. For this purpose Bydgoska Korporacja Lotnicza Sp. z o. o. (The Bydgoszcz Aviation Corporation Ltd) was founded and operated until 1995. It was then restructured and transformed into a public limited company, Port Lotniczy Bydgoszcz S. A. , which currently manages the airport. One of the most significant achievements of the company was the creation of an international airport. On 1 May 2004, a new modern terminal building was opened and earned the airport a title of ‘Firma Roku 2003’ (The Company of the Year 2003), awarded for the significant contribution the company had for the development of the region, as well as promotion of aviation. On 31 January 2004, the company was also awarded a statue of ‘Polski Klub Biznesu’ (Polish Business Club).

EPRZ - Rzeszów Airport
Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport (IATA: RZE, ICAO: EPRZ) is an international airport located in southeastern Poland, in Jasionka, a village 10 km (6. 2 mi) from the center of the city of Rzeszów. It is the eighth-busiest airport in Poland and currently the smallest European airport which has a direct scheduled transatlantic connection, with LOT Polish Airlines' seasonal service to Newark. The beginnings of the "Rzeszów-Jasionka" Airport date back to the years of the Nazi occupation, when in 1940 a runway 1200 m long and 40 m wide was built in Jasionka for military purposes. At the end of the war, in 1944, the Germans, leaving the airport, destroyed it. In the same year, the airport was taken over by the Russians. Then, in 1949-1959 it was rebuilt and made available for air transport. At that time, as well as in the 1970s, there was a significant rise in domestic flights - to Warsaw, Gdansk, Poznan, Koszalin, Wroclaw and Szczecin, thus allowing the airport to serve more than 100 000 passengers per year. In 1974, the Airport became an international airport, and an alternate airport for the Warsaw-Okecie Airport. In 1987, the State Enterprise "Polish Airports" was founded, grouping all the airports in the country. The Rzeszow-Jasionka Airport was within its structures to the end of June 2009. The most awaited investment in the "Rzeszów-Jasionka" Airport was the construction of a new passenger terminal building. After 15 months of construction, on 8 May 2012, the passenger service was moved to the new passenger terminal, which significantly changed the image of the Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport. One building combined departures and arrivals, which were supported by technical and commercial infrastructure. The New Terminal Building has three floors above ground and one underground. The "Rzeszów-Jasionka" Airport, as the furthest to the southeast communication airport in Poland, has an opportunity to develop further in the near future to open a wider window on the world for our region.

Seattle Paine Field International Airport (IATA: PAE, ICAO: KPAE, FAA LID: PAE), also known as Paine Field and Snohomish County Airport, is a commercial and general aviation airport serving the Seattle metropolitan area in the U. S. state of Washington. It is located in unincorporated Snohomish County, Washington, between the cities of Mukilteo and Everett, about 25 miles (40 km) north of Seattle. Paine Field has two runways. 16R-34L, at 9,010 feet (2,750 m) in length, is suited for the majority of aircraft and sees occasional heavy traffic. Runway 16L-34R is 3,004 feet (916 m) in length, and suitable only for small aircraft. The Paine (PAE) VOR/DME is unusually mounted on top of a Boeing hangar. The airport has 456 general aviation hangars. The airport was built in 1936 by the Works Progress Administration and began commercial service in 1939. It was named for an American airmail and Army Air Corps pilot, Topliff Olin Paine in 1941, shortly before the Army Air Corps began the occupation of Paine Field for military use. During his air mail career, Paine became nationally recognized for his accomplishments while flying through rugged terrain and snowstorms in the Rocky Mountains. From 1920 to 1922, Paine flew primarily out of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Salt Lake City, Utah, for the Air Mail Service, becoming one of the top fliers in the Western Division. The airport briefly returned to civilian use in the late 1940s, before conversion into an air force base during the Korean War. In 1966, the Boeing Company selected Paine Field for the site of its Everett assembly plant as part of the Boeing 747 program. The Boeing Everett Factory includes the largest building in the world by volume at 13,385,378 m3 (472,370,319 cu ft) and covers 98. 7 acres (39. 9 ha). Boeing began offering factory tours with the first rollout of the 747 in 1968. As of 2020 over 150,000 people come each year to visit the factory, which employs over 30,000 people. Across the airport to the west is The Boeing Store, a theater, and the Future of Flight Aviation Center, which runs the factory tour. To accommodate the Dreamlifter, a converted 747-400 which delivered 787 sections to the plant, a base was constructed on the western edge of Paine Field's runway and opened in 2013. By the 1970s, the airport had grown into a hub for light aviation and manufacturing, lacking commercial service. The county government sought to begin commercial service at Paine Field as early as the 1980s but was halted by opposition from neighboring cities. In March 2019, Paine Field resumed commercial service at a newly constructed terminal. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2023–2027 categorized it as a non-hub primary commercial service facility. The terminal was named the best regional airport in the world by Monocle magazine and one of the best small airports in the United States by USA Today. Paine Field is also home to Aviation Technical Services (ATS), one of the nation's largest aviation maintenance facilities. Paine Field is home to four flight schools making it a popular destination for flight training. There are also a number of flying clubs on the field.

Anchorage Ted Stevens International (PANC) is the most important airport in Alaska and a destination of many national and international connections. It is a hub for Alaska Airlines and an important cargo airport located conveniently between the USA and Asia. In this great state roads are scarce and limited to the major cities. The vast wilderness can only be reached by aircraft, often only by floatplane or small aircraft equipped for off-airport landings. And Anchorage International Airport ‘Ted Stevens’ is at the center of much of this aviation. Add the violent weather and the long hours of darkness in the winter and you end up with an airport that is in every way remarkable and well worth a superb rendering for Flight Simulator. Right next to PANC, via a taxiway connection crossing several streets, you can find Lake Hood – the largest seaplane base in the world. Next to Lake Hood there is a dirt strip “Z41” used by aircraft that have tundra equipment attached (special wheels to enable landing on unpaved strips in the wilderness).
