Mae Sariang Airport - VTCS is a small single runway airfield with runway 01/19 and a length of 732 meters, it sits at 750 feet AGL and is the location of where the film "Air America" with Mel Gibson was shot. Mae Sot International Airport is located in Mae Sot District, adjacent to the Thai-Myanmar border. Currently, it is served by Nok Air, with 1 flight per day. The new passenger terminal has just recently opened and can accommodate up to 3 aircraft with a capacity of up to 180 seats at a time. There is also a parking area in front of the old passenger terminal for VIP and general aviation aircraft.Mae Sot International Airport is located in Mae Sot District, adjacent to the Thai-Myanmar border. The other closest fields are Flugplatz Schönebeck-Zackmünde, Flugplatz Klein Mühlingen, Flugplatz Möckern-Tryppehna. Magdeburg airport does not publish METARs, the nearest weather station is Magdeburg-Cochstedt Airport, which is 28 km away. The flight information region (FIR) is Bremen.

The airport has two parallel runways: 9/27 (asphalt and grass) 30 metres wide and 1000 metres long (the grass runway is 700 metres long). In 2001, it was decided to extend the runway running in a west-east direction to 1800 m. Due to a lack of finances, the expansion plans have been on hold since 2005. With effect from January 1, 2009, the operation of the airfield was leased from the municipal airport Magdeburg GmbH to the private FMB Flugplatz Magdeburg Betriebsgesellschaft mbH for an initial period of 10 years.
There are neither charter nor scheduled flights. The runway is too short for some of the jets in question. The airfield is used primarily by aviation enthusiasts (glider pilots, parachutists), ultralight pilots and private pilots as well as for sightseeing flights.
