El Aeropuerto Internacional Palonegro (IATA: BGA, OACI: SKBG) se encuentra ubicado al occidente de Bucaramanga en el municipio de Lebrija, por la vía a Barrancabermeja, en el cerro histórico de Palonegro, Colombia. Pasó a ser Internacional desde el 4 de octubre de 2007, cuando la aerolínea Copa Airlines Colombia anunció el inicio de operaciones desde Bucaramanga hacia Panamá.
En la actualidad se llevan a cabo entre 75 y 80 vuelos diarios de siete líneas aéreas regulares en destinos doméstico... Además de la ruta internacional que une al Aeropuerto Internacional Palonegro con El Aeropuerto Internacional de Tocumen de la ciudad de Panamá por parte de Copa Airlines Colombia. Además, es la base de operaciones de la aerolínea de bajo coste EasyFly y de la aerolínea filial de Avianca, Regional Express. Así se posiciona Palonegro en el octavo lugar en el tráfico de pasajeros en el país, después de los aeropuerto de las ciudades de: Bogotá, Medellín, Calí , Cartagena, Barranquilla, San Andrés y Santa Marta.
El 7 de enero de 2020, la aerolínea Spirit Airlines anunció el inicio de la ruta Bucaramanga – Fort Lauderdale.
