EDDR is a international airport in the west of Germany near the french border. It is located on a hill near the city of Saarbrücken. From here, both domestic connections and scheduled flights to various holiday destinations are offered.
With 1990 meters, the runway is long enough for wide-body jets like the A330 or the Boeing 767. But most time, you will see A320s, Boeing 737s and turboprops such as the ATR72 on the apron.

The airport is located approximately 13 km (10 km in a straight line) south of Stuttgart and lies on the boundary between the nearby town of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Filderstadt and Stuttgart itself. Additionally, the global headquarters for car parking company APCOA Parking are located here.

Our artists have spent months trawling through documents, images and other primary sources in order to create the most compelling and realistic recreation of the airport on the market.

On the territory of the future airport in 1952, a NATO air base was built, which housed the 50th wing of the US air force. Most of Hahn air base was returned to German civil authorities on 30 September 1993, although USAFE retained a small portion as a radio communications facility until its final return to German authorities in 2012. It is still frequently used for military charters operated by, among others, Atlas Air , Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines.
