Birmingham Airport (EGBB), previously known as Elmdon Airport, opened in 1939 with its first flights being to and from Glasgow, Liverpool and Croydon.
During the second World War, this airport was used as a Royal Airforce Training site until 1949 when British Airways was the first to begin commercial services again to destinations such as Amsterdam, Zurich, Palma and Barcelona.

Cardington became one of the major British sites involved in the development of airships in 1915.
The airships site was nationalised in April 1919, becoming known as the Royal Airship Works. nnn preparation for the R101 project the No 1 shed was extended between October 1924 and March 1926; its roof was raised by 35 feet and its length increased to 812 feet. The No. 2 shed (Southern shed) was originally located at RNAS Pulham, Norfolk.
It was dismantled there and re-erected at Ca... Cardington became one of the major British sites involved in the development of airships in 1915.

THIS SCENE CREATES AN MSFS WORLD IN 1935.
IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY OTHER SCENE IN THE SAME LOCATION IN 2020 AND WILL MODIFY THESE OTHER SCENES TO ALLOW IMMERSION INTO THE 1930'S. YOU WILL HAVE TO MANAGE THEM BY INSTALLING/UNINSTALLING THEM IF YOU WANT TO GO BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN 1935 AND TODAY.
RWG FRANCE 1935 is an optional add-on increasing even more immersion by changing planes, services and countries . . . but is not essential.
