This classification allows the handling of aircraft with a maximum wingspan of 45m and a main gear wheel span of 14m, accommodating planes the size of a Boeing 747. The runway is aligned with the prevailing direction of western winds. Additionally, it is equipped with CAT II ILS equipment, enabling the reception of aircraft even in close-to-minimum-visibility meteorological conditions. The theoretical average capacity of the runway during landing or take-off operations is 12 per hour.
