I started rebuilding the brand‑new Zhuhai Airport in October 2024, completed the project in early March 205, and released the scenery.
Features:
- T1 and T2 terminals modeled based on real photographs; medium‑detail interiors included for the T1 departure level.
- Rich ground details with numerous Chinese markings; PBR materials applied to ground textures and taxiway lines.
- Added virtual stands 24 / 25 to simulate positions 18–20; stands 21–23 combined can accommodate aircraft with a wingspan up to 65 meters. Also includes T2 apron stands 219–224 and airshow apron stands 301–311.
- Custom lighting system, taxiway signage, animated flags, animated windsocks, and dynamic ground vehicles.
- Corrected terrain elevation in the simulator; simple modeling added for the bunker and leisure area on Jinfengtai Hilltop.
- Restored red aviation anti‑collision lights on multiple high‑rise buildings, flashing regularly with strong night visibility without fading over distance, preventing collisions caused by poor lighting.
- Total polygon count around 120,000 for the entire airport; LOD optimization applied for excellent performance and smooth FPS.
- Runway gradient, ILS configuration, and navigation station placement referenced real charts; ILS frequencies match real‑world values.
Notes:
- Navigation data: This airport is currently non‑public in China, so no official charts are available online. It is expected that after the T2 terminal opens, Zhuhai Jinwan Airport will become an international airport, and charts will then be released publicly.
- Only the exterior shell of the T2 terminal is modeled with no interior details, as T2 is not yet operational in reality.
Compatibility with MSFS 2024?
Readable by MSFS 2024; full functionality depends on how well MSFS 2024 recognizes all features from MSFS 2020 scenery files.
