Model Match Pro On Sale
Over the last 5 years I have been building model matching scripts to help the community improve their model matching within the world of VATSIM when using Microsoft Flight Simulator. Over the last 5 years I have been building model matching scripts to help the community improve their model matching within the world of VATSIM when using Microsoft Flight Simulator. The model matching rules vmr file has taken years of tweaking, and refining but the freeware one I created some time ago has become outdated, difficult to maintain, and contained many duplications when using AIG AI Traffic for your model matching
Now, however, I have re-written the entireity of the rule set. It still requires all of the AIG library to be installed and this VMR then seeks that data for use in VATSIM via vPilot. What you will now see - compared to my previous free version - is a more accurate rule set spanning the globe, better accuracy in model matching the VATSIM traffic around you and therefore greater immersion no matter where you are in the world.
Why am I now offering it as a payware option? It has taken vast amounts of hours to not only create but also maintain this file set over the years.
Installations Tips for those new to using VMRs:-
1. Open vPilot
2. Click Settings
3. Select the Model Matching Tab for the simulator you are using (MSFS 2020 or 2024) and expand that drop down
4. Click Custom Rules
5. Click Add Custom Rule Set and locate the VMR file within this addons folder structure named ModelMatchPRO. vmr - select it to add it to the list
6. Click Apply, then OK. Enjoy!
Please note, you do not need to add this to your simulator community folder.

Vmr Model Matching Studio On Sale
Welcome to the Model Match Pro VMR Studio! This program is designed to provide one detailed, editable . exe file for you to generate your own VMR files based on what you have installed. This program is designed to provide one detailed, editable . exe file for you to generate your own VMR files based on what you have installed. Airline and Aircraft ICAO codes are editable, and you can select "default aircraft" to enable the vmr to generate back-ups for generic models included - for example, within AIG or FSLTL files. It is comprehensive - but not perfect (this type of product can never be 100%). It relies on livery/AI model creators coding the files correctly to ensure it has a detectable aircraft type code and airline ICAO code which is accurate. It does have an understanding of popular virtual airlines - like Osprey Airways and so on, to also assist in matching those for your own custom VMR.
Once you've reviewed all the lines, export the VMR to a location of your choosing and link vPilot to that VMR and fly!
Scan. Match. Export. Fly!
Whilst this software has no additional requirements to run the . exe included, you will need to have a basic understanding of VMR's / Model Matching for use on VATSIM for example. The software will need to be pointed to folders you wish for it to scan in order to build custom vmrs. It is not perfect - but that is the unfortunate nature of model matching. The program will allow you to overwrite airline/aircraft ICAO codes for example.
My recommendation is for you to tick most of the left hand options and leave them on including Include Default Models, which will create back-ups predominantly for GA aircraft/corporate jets which have no specific operator ICAO code associated with them. You are also able to customise airline groupings should you wish.
