This project does not include LOD optimization, as it is not required for this type of content. Instead, I performed a custom adaptation of default water bodies to ensure proper integration with the new terrain mesh.
Data Sources and Tools
DEM / DTM Based on Sentinel‑1 SAR processed in SNAP13 for maximum terrain accuracy reprocessed and optimized for MSFS.
Mesh Technology: Proprietary, developed in-house,

10-meter (1/3 arc sec) terrain mesh resolution, based on Sentinel-1 data, offering a dramatic improvement over default SRTM1 (30m) coverage.
Water body adaptation: default lakes, shorelines, and coastal flats have been flattened and reshaped to match the new elevation model.
Optimized for VFR flying; to fully appreciate the terrain detail, it is recommended to fly below 500 feet AGL.

Crystal Airport is a private airport in Llano, California, nestled against the northern side of the San Gabriel Mountains. Home of the Southern California Soaring Academy Glider Flight School and a few private hangars. Boasting of a 4500 foot paved runway which has plenty of room for glider launches in a variety of means.

Including custom buildings and hangars, as well as a custom trapezoid wind indicator, we hope you enjoy this scenery as mush as we are.
In the wider area, this scenery also removes water from the Big Rock Wash and Little Rock Wash, which are arroyos. A detailed section of the California Aqueduct system should make the vicinity a bit more realistic. However it is not realistic for you to land in the aqueduct. . . . . this definitely is a feature of a Trespass VR scenery! Taking you behind the scenes and giving you the all access pass!
