Truth be told: There are airports that are higher. There may be airports that have a shorter runway. There even may be airstrips somewhere that have an even worse upwards slope of the runway. Or others that have a mountain wall at the end of its runway. What makes Lukla stand out is a combination of all those factors in one single airport!
Not enough thrill for you? Count in weather as a factor. No navigational aids. Limited documentation of approach and take-off routes. An uncontrolled airspace with fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.

EDBK - Kyritz Airfield
Kyritz Airfield is a commercial airfield in the district of Ostprignitz-Ruppin near Berlin close to the Baltic Sea. The airfield has a 1000-metre-long and 23-metre-wide asphalt runway and a 1000-metre-long and 30-metre-wide grass runway. The grass runway is suitable for gliders, motor gliders, ultralights and powered aircraft.
The airfield has modern airfield lighting, which allows night flying operations, and is the location of various clubs and businesses.

The "automatic mode" of Toolbar Pushback Pro now also supports towing (forward) in addition to the standard pushback (backward), offering a whole lot of options for getting your aircraft out of a parking position.

Take off from here using a helicopter, try to stay low above the detailed rugged terrain, ma... If you’re more into fixed wing operations, no matter if low and slow or high and fast, you can choose between two skiways: The Casey Skiway on the glacier a few kilometers above the base for medium distance operations or the Wilkins Aerodrome about 70 kilometers to the south – well known for its A319-115LR passenger flights (yes, that’s an Airbus on ice!) or C-17 cargo flights between here and Australia.

That is why we believe a scenery covering the North Sea, the English Channel and the Irish sea makes sense. With the simulator fully supporting helicopters, a new territory to explore is available!
All the objects are placed in exactly the correct position using databases collected over many months. The ships are all located where they were on Jan 20, 2022, at 12:00 GMT. This means that every ship is in a ‘logical’ position. So, a cargo ship could be at an anchorage waiting for a port dock to become available, a small fishing vessel going to its fishing ground or a construction ship placing pylons for new wind turbines.
