24 Landing Challenges for a large variety of airports in Nepal. Challenges are rated so you can evalutate your skill. There are 8 landing challenges for each Category (Famous, Epic, Strongwind). All missions are available directly from the main Microsoft Flight Simulator menu. Challenges uses various types of aircraft, depending on the size of the arrival airport.
Flying Nepal Bush Trip:
A complete and scenic tour of the Nepal from Bajura to Chandragadhi. You will find Bush Trip – FLAYING HAWAI into the ACTIVITIES/BUSH TRIP section. A lot of points of interest have been included in the flight plan, many documented with photos visible in the Nav Log. In addition, the missions take advantage of the Microsoft TTS technology and you will receive instructions and information about the flight by voice.

Lukla is a quaint town nestled in the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu rural municipality of the Solukhumbu District, within Province No. 1 of northeastern Nepal. Lukla is a quaint town nestled in the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu rural municipality of the Solukhumbu District, within Province No. 1 of northeastern Nepal. Perched at an elevation of 2,860 meters (9,383 feet) above sea level, it serves as a gateway for adventurers heading to the majestic Himalayas and the iconic Mount Everest.
This charming village is home to a small yet vital airport that connects the region to the outside world. The village itself is dotted with a variety of shops and lodges, offering western-style meals and essential trail supplies to the throngs of tourists and trekkers who pass through. From Lukla, it takes travelers approximately two days to reach Namche Bazaar, a crucial stop for altitude acclimatization before continuing their journey.
The airport in Lukla boasts a single asphalt runway measuring 527 meters (1,729 feet), making it one of the shortest commercial runways globally. In August 2014, the Nepalese government unveiled plans to construct the first tarmac road linking Kathmandu to Lukla, a significant development for the region.
Lukla is served by the Tenzing-Hillary Airport, where, weather permitting, twin-engine Dornier 228s and de Havilland Canada Twin Otters make frequent daylight flights between Lukla and Kathmandu. The airport's short and steep airstrip, combined with often treacherous weather conditions, has earned it the reputation of being the most dangerous airport in the world, with several fatal accidents recorded over the years.
This scenery addon is an improvement in and outside Lukla extending all the way to Thulo Gumela, Tok Tok and Yeti Mountain Home in Kongde. Bring out your Helicopter landing skills as there is a lot of places to challenge yourself along the way.

Phaplu is the closest airport to Mount Everest that is connected to the national road network. Due to rising tourist numbers there are more and more scheduled flights to this airport which is not only another Gateway to Everest but in itself a beautiful destination nested into a lush green landscape.

Phaplu is the closest airport to Mount Everest that is connected to the national road network. Due to rising tourist numbers there are more and more scheduled flights to this airport which is not only another Gateway to Everest but in itself a beautiful destination nested into a lush green landscape.
The airport has an interesting location along a slope with an apron carved into the terrain and the tower and terminal on top of a high wall that follows the runway. Be cautious when taxiing here as you wouldn‘t be the first pilot there who‘s wingtip would touch the wall! Approaches to the airport however are troubled by the harsh wind conditions in the valley. Due to strong wind the airport closes at noon, which means that flights are only happening in the morning hours when the weather is usually suitable for flying. Gusts of 43 knots have been recorded here.
As a bonus there’s another challenging airport included in this package: Kangel Danda, which is spectacularly located on top of a mountain between Rumjatar and Lukla. At both ends of the runway there are steep cliffs letting you gain ground clearance quickly without even climbing.
Recently there have been plans to re-commence scheduled flights here since the coms equipment got destroyed by a thunderstorm and little efforts have been made to repair it for years. The goats grazing the airport are happy using is as a welcome pasture.

This dataset represents cellular Towers locations for Nepal. According to the data in Nepal there are as today approximately 20. 000 Cellular Towers. We have collected the data and injected into the Msfs world to put this landmarks on the map. It look like in Nepal the cell towers have shorter range this explain the higher number; this might also include 2 3 and 4G masts of some kind recorded by the authority. Having said that; data from some countries could not be as precise as others; even ... This dataset represents cellular Towers locations for Nepal. According to the data in Nepal there are as today approximately 20. 000 Cellular Towers. We have collected the data and injected into the Msfs world to put this landmarks on the map. It look like in Nepal the cell towers have shorter range this explain the higher number; this might also include 2 3 and 4G masts of some kind recorded by the authority.
