Telluride Regional Airport is a public airport six miles west of Telluride town on Dove Creek Mesa at 9070ft, in San Miguel County, Colorado, United States. It was opened in 1984 and is the highest commercial airport in the United States. Telluride is both a popular winter Ski destination and a summer festival/hiking vacation for tourists. In addition to the Denver airlink, KTEX is a popular destination by many private pilots flying aircraft up to Gulfstream size. It's also used as a stop over airport crossing the continent.
Telluride is a challenging airport to land your aircraft. At 9070ft you need more speed and landing distance. In addition, there is a 1000ft drop into the San Miguel River Valley below. Runway 9 has a step 3. 55' glide path, Runway 27 has an even stepper 4. 0' glide path due to terrain east of the runway. There is not enough terrain separation for large jets to safely circle to land on runway 27, therefore large Jets must land runway 9 often with a tailwind. Smaller Jet may land on runway 27 at pilot's discretion.

The scenery is based on the airport as it was in 2022, and is optimized for the new MS flight sim.

Enjoy arriving at an airport and seeing real world airlines and aircraft types parked around the airport. Within this package you will enjoy hundreds of aircraft variations (types, airlines) thousands of them manually placed according to real life on around 41+ default airports. The airports selected are mostly ASOBO (default) airports, so that they don’t conflict with modified custom airports. The aircraft are placed so that they are compatible with AI traffic or aircraft ground traffic, noneth... Within this package you will enjoy hundreds of aircraft variations (types, airlines) thousands of them manually placed according to real life on around 41+ default airports. The airports selected are mostly ASOBO (default) airports, so that they don’t conflict with modified custom airports. The aircraft are placed so that they are compatible with AI traffic or aircraft ground traffic, nonetheless we recommend having the option “aircraft ground density” to zero. Nonetheless our package will work perfectly, but its best for the immersion that this setting is set to zero. The aircraft have been mostly placed on remote stands and on some stands near the terminal in order not to conflict with AI traffic and the overall user experience.
