The Esseillon Barrier: Fly over the impressive Victor-Emmanuel military fort, perched above the Arc Gorge in the commune of Aussois. Built in the early 19th century, it housed a garrison of 1,500 men; named after the sovereign of the House of Savoy, its purpose was to defend against French invasions.
Will you be skilled enough to land your helicopter in the command building's courtyard?
You are just a stone's throw from Vanoise National Park: Head north toward the Col de l'Iseran, the Dent Parrachée, and the great glaciers. Or head south to discover Mont Thabor and the Clarée Valley.
It is also a gateway to Italy: Cross over in minutes to the Col du Mont-Cenis—with its turquoise lake cradled by mountain peaks—before reaching the Susa Valley (Valdisusa) and its campo volo di Vaie (LIVE) shortly after.
Take flight to nearby airfields just a short distance away: Valloire, Tignes, Val d'Isère, Méribel, and Saint-Rémy-de-Maurienne!
The scenery faithfully recreates the airfield, as well as the Esseillon Fort, located a few minutes' flight away along the Arc River, heading southwest.
In spring, summer, and autumn, you will spot a hot-air balloon drifting over the Esseillon Fort. In winter, the snowplow driver leaves his colleague in the tug to clear the area around the runway.
Animations: DLSS 5 ready animated non-player characters and animals, hangar doors (opened using the navlights button), tractor, hot-air balloon, snowplow. Microlights: modeled or hand-painted.
Performance-optimized: PBR textures, low-poly, LOD management.
All handcrafted aircrafts and buildings by MeijeFS. Piper PA128 Supercub by Lucas-PL, livery by MeijeFS.
Enjoy this wonderful starting point for exploring this extraordinary region of the French and Italian Alps.

Every approach becomes an adventure. Every takeoff offers a fresh perspective on Alpine landmarks such as the Orsiera-Rocciavrè Natural Park, the Avigliana Lakes, and obviously the Sacra di San Michele—a 10th-century Benedictine abbey overlooking the Susa Valley and the Piedmont plains.
More than just an airfield, this add-on offers an environment designed to deepen immersion and bring your flights to life with dynamic elements and moving objects: animated characters, animated animals, paragliders, hot air balloons, a snowplow, a tractor, and hangar doors. Buildings and objectsare all handcrafted, with low-poly modeling and LODs. PBR textures optimized for MSFS 2024.
The snowplow driver switches to piloting the hot air balloon from April to November. Certain non-playable characters appear or disappear during the winter season.
The hangar doors can be operated from the cockpit using the navigation light switch.
You can perform a cold start from inside hangar number 1, provided you use an aircraft with a narrow wingspan. The default Magni Gyro M24 is well-suited for this type of departure (since this aircraft lacks navigation lights, you must use the landing lights to operate the hangar door).
In just a few minutes, you can reach the Vialattea ski resorts (Sestriere, Sansicario, Cesana, Clavière, Montgenèvre, etc. ) or the magical Lake Moncenisio, cross the French border, and land at Sollières-Sardières (LFKD) on the French side. Don't forget that you are just a stone's throw from Turin—perfect for a VFR flight that lets you enjoy photogrammetric views of this magnificent city!
Install. Take off. Sit back and relax. Experience Valsusa.
