As a result of the temporary closure of Suvarnabhumi Airport in 2008 due to the protests, Chiang Mai became the alternative stop-over for China Airlines' Taipei-Europe flights and for Swiss International Air Lines' Singapore-Zurich flights in the interim. On 24 January 2011, the airport became a secondary hub for Thai AirAsia. The China Airlines flights are now regular flights.
The Airports of Thailand expanded the terminal with upgrades in 2014 including expansion of the apron for larger planes, extending operating hours to 24/7 (effective April 2014), and enlarging the international arrival hall and domestic departure hall. As of 2018, 31 airlines operated at CNX, serving 11 million passengers, 78,210 flights and 14,612 tons of cargo.

- Transparent and translucent glass panes can appear very dark when subject to particle effects such as rain, snow and fog. This is a known bug that Asobo/Microsoft are aware of and will hopefully fix in the near future.
- When multiple sceneries are installed in the same area a bug showing the underlying stock photogrammetry can occur. This is a known bug which was introduced in SU11, Asobo/Microsoft are aware of it and will hopefully fixed in the near future.

LLER - Eilat Ramon
LLER –Ilan and Asaf Ramon International airport
Opened in 2019 to replace the old Eilat Airport and Ovda Airport for passenger transport. The airport was named after Ilan Ramon(1954-2003, Israel’s first astronaut killed in the Colombia space shuttle disaster in 2003) and Asaf Ramon, his son (1988-2009, killed in an F-16 crash while in training). This is an all-new airport that isn’t based on WWII-era RAF layout of airports like most of the airports in Israel. LLER has one runway 01/19 wit... LLER –Ilan and Asaf Ramon International airport
Opened in 2019 to replace the old Eilat Airport and Ovda Airport for passenger transport. The airport should operate as the second International airport of Israel, after Ben Gurion Airport, and operate as an alternate destination for Ben Gurion Airport, instead of Cyprus, Larnaca airport. The new Airport was planned to serve 5 million passengers a year, and there is an option for extending the terminal to be capable of handling more passengers.
This scenery includes the airport of LLER and represents an accurate replica of the airport. We created a detailed environment of the terminal and the control tower interior with a detailed and accurate exterior of all buildings in the airport area. We created a 3D model of the ground mesh to include the rain drain trenches, the apron also been modeled with custom texture for the concrete/asphalt and the markings. All the models have been created with custom textures. The static models in the scenery are custom and true to life for what is found in the real airport. The scenery include night texture for the models and custom light objects to enhance the night experience and environment.
The scenery replicate the airport real night taxi light, yes there is no center green light except the vacate lines, It not a mistake it replicate the real life layout of the taxi lights
The scenery include GSX profile with separated walk in gates to arrival and departure, release point and animated walking people inside the terminal
Note that there is a conflict between Navigraph and our scenery, we included a patch that fixing this conflict

The airport is named after Sitka's former mayor Rocky Gutierrez. The airport includes a single terminal with a jetway with air service that is operated for a whole year by Alaska Airlines and seasonally by Delta Air Lines regional affiliate Delta Connection which is operated by SkyWest Airlines. The single paved runway is located on a causeway that juts off Japonski Island—buried on airport grounds patients who died from tuberculosis from the nearby SEARHC/Mt. Sitka Rocky Gutierrez Airport is located at an elevation of approximately 26 feet (8 meters) above mean sea level. The property includes one runway designated 11/29 with an asphalt surface measuring 7,200 by 150 feet (2,195 x 46 m). For one year, ending January 2, 2011, the facility had 23,100 aircraft operations, that on average, equals 63 per day. 43% of them represent air taxi, 8% scheduled commercial, 43% general aviation, and 6% military. At that time, there were thirty aircraft based at this airport, with 70% of them single-engine, 10% military, 13% ultralight, and 7% multi-engine.
SIT also has hangars and offices that serve local air traffic control, together with the Civil Air Patrol, and various private enterprises. U. S. Coast Guard Air Station Sitka has a complex attached to the Sitka Rocky Safety hazards involve ocean waves washing onto the runway during high winds, storms due to its exposed location, and significant flocks of birds that live very close to the airport. Because of these hazards, the airport is listed by airfarewatchdog. com as one of the ten most thrilling landing experiences in the world.
Alaska Airlines has served Sitka for about fifty years. In 1967, Alaska Air was operating Boeing 727-100 jet service into the facility on a round trip from Seattle to Kotzebue and was also operating flights with Convair 240 propliner service nonstop to Juneau. By 1969, Alaska Air had added a few stops on the route between Seattle and Alaska. It was operating a Boeing 727-100 jetliner on a round trip routing from Seattle to Sitka and the final destination at Kotzebue in addition to working Convair 240 service on a round trip routing of Annette Island Airport - Wrangell - Petersburg - Sitka - Juneau. Over the years, Alaska Air also operated Boeing 727-200 and 737-200 jets into the airport before switching to later model Boeing 737 jetliners. In 1986, Anchorage-based AirPac was working jet service into SIT with a British Aerospace BAe 146-100 aircraft that was flying a round trip routing of Seattle - Sitka - Anchorage.
Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Alaska Seaplanes now operate in the airport.
The main plane on this route is a Boeing 737-700 passenger, cargo, and mixed modification by Alaska Airlines.
