The 208th Squadron provides initial training for helicopter pilots of the Armed Forces and other State bodies and, limited to Air Force pilots, issues helicopter ratings. In Frosinone, specialists are also trained, and, already qualified to operate helicopters, they complete practical training courses. The Wing is also capable of conducting SAR operations and Combat SAR training.
