Cockpit Effects:
-Saint Elmo's Fire (Windscreen Static): Replicating the dangers of flying near thunderstorms, this beautiful display of static electricity flashing on your cockpit windows is a sight to be seen.
-Windscreen Bug Splatter: Yes, we did! Why bug splatter? Because bug splatter is a real, and real pilots have to squint through a dirty windscreen every time they fly. Ever tried to see a narrow runway with the setting sun blasting the bug smashed windscreen? Go ahead, airplanes are nicknamed "Bug Smashers" for good reason. Flying insects are most active in warm temperatures around sunset, you'll certainly see more bug splatter on your windscreen then.
Engine Effects:
-Engine Intake Vortices: Reactive to engine power, humidity, airspeed, temperature, air density, and surface moisture. When the conditions are right, these miniature tornados are spectacular to watch as they pour into the engine.
-Engine Intake Condensation: Reactive to engine power, humidity, airspeed, temperature, air density, and altitude.
-Jet Blast: Reactive to your engine speed. Jet engines are powerful, contaminated surfaces (water and snow) bring this power to light.
-Reverse Thrust: On a wet or snowy runway, watch as thrust is rapidly switched directions when your engine enters reverse thrust.
-Engine Fires: Set through your MSFS Aircraft Failure Customization menu. When is the last time you had to land single engine?
-Contrails: Out with the old, in with the new. Say goodbye to the default contrails. Our contrails depict the rotating wake turbulence behind an aircraft, and they look great.
-Engine and APU Startup Smoke: Jet engine starts nearly always produce smoke during startup. Excess fuel is sprayed into the engine during the ignition stage, and it comes out of the exhaust as smoke.
-Engine and APU Cold Starts: When the environment is cold enough, aircraft require cold weather startup procedures to prevent engine damage. Marvel at your engine and APU startup exhaust with this effect.
Airframe Effects:
-Wing Condensation: Reactive to aircraft pitch, humidity, airspeed, temperature, air density, and altitude. High pressure below the wing to the low pressure above the wing is visually stunning when the conditions are right.
-Flap Trailing Vortices: Reactive to flap angle, aircraft pitch, humidity, airspeed, temperature, air density, and altitude. No, this is not a fuel leak, it is aerodynamics at work. These trails of moisture look even better from an aircraft cabin window.
-Brake Smoke: If your brakes are smoking, you've got hot brakes. A heavy aircraft, hard braking, and hot temperatures will cause this.
-Volumetric Landing Lights: Too dark to see if you're in a cloud while flying? Turn on your landing lights. If you see your light beams illuminating the cloud, you've found your answer. Real pilots do this routinely, especially when concerned about icing. Default MSFS landing lights will not do this, but our effect will.
-Tail Strike, Wingtip Strike, Engine Nacelle Strike: Gusty crosswinds are a recipe for a wingtip or nacelle strike. Watch your landing attitude, don't strike the tail! A plane spotter will see the effects of your aluminum scraping, thanks to this effect.
-Fuel Vent Dripping: Airplane fuel systems all have vents. Warm temperature causes fuel to expand. If your fuel tanks are full and they warm up in the heat, fuel is going overboard. There's plenty of airport ramp stains to prove this. This effect does this, though it does not come with a fuel spill cleanup kit.

LHC Wittman Tailwind Series
Welcome to another Aircraft Adventure by Lionheart Creations. In this package, you will find two highly acclaimed ‘Experimental Homebuilt Sport Aircraft’ designed by the famous aircraft designer and air racer; 'Steve Wittman'. These are the Wittman Tailwind series W-8 and W-10 Models. The W-8 is a simpler build version with smaller engine and more basic instrument panel, while the W-10 Edition is a radical build with a 6 cylinder engine and a high technology glass screen avionics suite. One i... Welcome to another Aircraft Adventure by Lionheart Creations. In this package, you will find two highly acclaimed ‘Experimental Homebuilt Sport Aircraft’ designed by the famous aircraft designer and air racer; 'Steve Wittman'. These are the Wittman Tailwind series W-8 and W-10 Models. The W-8 is a simpler build version with smaller engine and more basic instrument panel, while the W-10 Edition is a radical build with a 6 cylinder engine and a high technology glass screen avionics suite. One is more realistic and slower, while the other, the W-10, is more of a exotic version of what one can do with these unique little Speedster aircraft.
The looks of the Tailwind are radical. They are small, tight fitting, sporty looking aircraft with a cowling shaped like a wedge, its perspex windscreen curving up from the cowling like a wing foil shape, making the entire top of the fuselage a 'lift' inducing wing surface. The wings are like a Bellanca. Fully wood construction, from spar and ribbing, to the skins, they have no rivets, no seams, are sanded and finished with a glass finish, making them ultra slippery with windflow.
The package has many features. A high detail interior, really unique seats, Asobo state of the art soundpacks with all their various high resolution sound effects that even include squeaks and rattles, flap airflow sounds, and the list goes on. The seats in the Tailwind are a jump up. In my design of this package, I thought. . . How would I make my Tailwind? And I thought about seats. On the W-8, I have Lamborghini Countach remakes for seats. They fit you comfortably in a very tight cabin, just like the Tailwind. And for the W-10 Ultra, I wanted something futuristic, like these new modern sport planes have, so I went with modern Off Road Sport Utility Vehicle style seats. For the panels, I wanted the W-8 to be able to look 'vintage' as well as modern. So I have older versions with krinkle paint, aged, as well as wood and also carbon fiber. Note that the W-8 Series Tailwind first appeared in about 1954. Very advanced for its time. So I wished to also include the earlier versions, as well as very modern, up to date variants.
Also. . . I wanted to make these 'Adventure' planes. Part of the 'Theme' of this package was to make a set of 'Adventure' aircraft where you could go on a dream journey, like to Oshkosh, for instance. And so I thought. . . They will need 'Tents' and little folding chairs. So I have included a 'Camping Mode' where you click a button and a small ensemble deploys, consisting of two little camping tents, two fold up, ultra-lite chairs, a cooler for food, and your flight bag. There is even a little campfire that glows red at night and lanterns hanging on the wings on the tie-down loops. Flip those on at night for camping lighting.
Oh, and about 29 paint schemes total… I know. I go overboard on Liveries.
These are meant to be radically fun, yet also with some realistic handling and speeds. Not too fast, but not slow either. Steve would want them to be doing their proper speeds, and then some, if you know what I mean. So if you want a steady level plane, this might not be it. This is what I call a 'Dream Build', a vision of 'What if. . . ' where you have the funds to make a really nice home built plane, and this is what it might turn out to be like.
There is a neat manual with lots of screenshots, information, and diagrams for you to glance over. It is in the W-8 airplane folder, in the Manual folder.

Hawker Hurricane Mk1
Often regarded as 'the poor relation' to the Supermarine Spitfire, the Hawker Hurricane was in fact, a very capable fighting machine and again in fact, was responsible for 60% of Luftwaffe losses during the Battle of Britain. As a fighter, the Hurricane was no match for the manoeuvrability of the Messerschmitt BF109 but if a skilled pilot could bring those eight guns to bear, more often than not, the opposition was doomed amid a hail of concentrated fire. Those thick profile wings provided an e... During the Battle, the Hawker Hurricane made 'aces' of many of the young pilots flying daily to defend the shores of Great Britain. It fought in all the theatres of WW2, inflicting a massive amount of damage not only to enemy forces in the air but on the ground and at sea.
Much of this success was owed to its incredibly durable construction, enabling the aircraft to sustain huge amounts of punishment and still keep going. Cannon rounds would pass harmlessly, straight through the fabric of the rear fuselage structure without exploding and substantial armour plating behind the seat would provide protection for the pilot from rear attack.
There is little doubt, that without this iconic aircraft's rugged durability and the dogged determination of the RAF's Hurricane pilots,
Britain's 'Finest Hour' might have lasted a lot longer than it did.
In this tribute package you will find not only the Battle of Britain Mk1 but also the Tropicalised version with Vokes filter under the nose and a Sea Hurricane equipped with fully functional tail-hook for carrier landings.
