This conversion of the FSX/P3D version has been updated with improved graphic and model details as well as full compatibility with the new MSFS systems.
The Winjeel makes it's way to MSFS. The Winjeel is a two-three seat, low wing, fixed undercarriage tail dragger. Construction is all metal with fabric covered control surfaces. Power is provided by a 450hp Pratt & Whitney Wasp Junior nine cylinder radial engine driving a two bladed Hamilton Standard variable pitch propeller.
The Winjeel was the Royal Australian Air Force's primary piston trainer from 1955 to 1975. The Winjeel replaced the Tiger Moth and Wackett aircraft and was itself replaced by the NZAI CT-4 Airtrainer.
During the Vietnam war America's use of Forward Air Control (FAC) aircraft had proved to be a great asset so in 1969 four Winjeel's were modified for use in this role by the addition of a smoke grenade dispenser and upgraded communications equipment. FAC Winjeel's were not used in combat but were used in training. Finally in 1994 the FAC Winjeel's were replaced by Pilatus PC-9 turboprops which brought an end to the Winjeel's nearly 40 years of service.
A total of 62 Winjeels were produced from 1954 to 1958 and delivered to the RAAF. 2 prototype aircraft (CAC-22) were produced in 1951 and required extensive testing and modifications to arrive at the final design of the Winjeel.
Original plans called for the prototypes to be fitted with Pratt & Whitney Wasps and CAC's own engine design in the production aircraft. This engine was a seven cylinder radial called the R-795 Cicada. In 1951 the Cicada program was scrapped and Winjeels were all fitted with Pratt & Whitney Wasp Junior engines (the same engine used in De Havilland Beavers).
Interestingly, for a trainer, the Winjeels had three seats. Both the RAF and RAAF had specified three seats for their post WWII trainers. The theory being it would be possible to train two pilots at once, one being instructed whilst the other watched. This theory did not last long.
According to the Australian civil aircraft register there are 30 Winjeels currently registered. This FSX version is based on VH-OPJ (serial no A85-429 ) which is operated by Classic Aero Adventure Flights in Ballina NSW (http://www. classicaero. com. au). This particular aircraft has been modified to fit an additional seat to make it a four seater aircraft.
FEATURES
- There are two basic models, Normal and Forward Air Control (FAC). Each model comes in vintage and modern versions.
- A pop-up tablet is available which allows the user to set preferences and operate a simple autopilot (not a standard feature on the real aircraft).
- A pop-up GPS is available to aid in navigation.
- Persistent fuel and oil settings. When set the fuel and oil levels from the last flight will automatically be loaded into the next flight.
- Three custom pilots are available, vintage male RAAF pilot and modern male and female pilots. Default MSFS pilot and copilot can be selected with the Tablet.
- Exterior sound mixing. Mix in the level of the exterior sound to the interior sound. Opening the windows or canopy will also mix in the exterior sound.
- Three levels of engine starter realism.
- Engine oil consumption realism.
- Sparkplug carbon fouling realism.

HISTORY
LFBP Pau Pyrénées Airport (Aéroport Pau Pyrénées) is an airport serving Pau, France.
It is located about 10 km (6. 2 mi) northwest of Pau in the commune of Uzein, in the "département of Pyrénées-Atlantiques".
Its great and long term story begins with the roots of flight, with the Wright Brothers.
It was first flew in 1909, at the Wright Brothers flight school built in Pau due to its mild weather compared to the other candidate in Le Mans.
The same year, Louis Blériot, after crossing the English Channel on his Blériot XI monoplane, came back to Pau to open his Flight Training School.
This brought a lot of attention and the airport was soon location for new facilities which were born in the surroundings.
Finally, in 1912 even the French Army, after setting up a proper Military Flight License, decided to set up a Military Flying School right there in Pau, turning it into one of the greatest and largest Flying Schools in France.
Before World War II began, a large number of Aeronautical Companies set up base in the Adour basin, and straight after the end of the War, the industry had a boom.
Dassault opened in Anglet, Fouga and Potez in Aire-sur-l'Adour, Turbomeca in Bordes and Tanos, Messier in Arudy and Daher-Socata in Tarbes Ossun.
This brought by consequence a number of sub-contractors to move or open subsudiaries in the area, making Pau and the surroundings the glory of flight it is now.
LFBP Pau Pyrenees now hosts in the southern part at the Heli Base the 5e régiment d'hélicoptères de combat (5th Combat Helicopter Regiment) and the 4e Régiment d'Hélicoptères des Forces Spéciales (4th Special Forces Helicopter Regiment), making it critical and one of the most important Military Facilities in France.

Kinetic Assistant is a SimConnect utility that covers missing simulation or gameplay elements of the Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020). Desktop application read sim variables and return adjusted values (like speed and rotation) back into the game to simulate some specific conditions, uplift inside of artificial hotspot for example. Also it can insert objects into the game, like AI tow planes.
Currently, these features are available: Winch, Tow, Hotspots, Catapult and Arresting gear, NMEA data exchange. All of them have limitations, so please read the description for each below.
* Kinetic Assistant has ALBATROSS competitions app integrated. All flight plans, weather presets and other kind of data related to race events are property of their authors, you are not eligible to republish them anyhow without author approval.
* Fully compatible aircraft:
DG808S (freeware, available on msfs. touching. cloud)
Discus2C (freeware, flightsim. to).
* Partially compatible aircraft: any native or legacy MSFS glider or carrier based aircraft.
* Hotspots data provided by thermal. kk7. ch and maps. openAIP. net services.
Package includes
* EXE application (installed . NET Framework is required)
* Towplane tracks – can be used on any runway, just choose takeoff direction properly
* Detailed PDF manual
* KineticPanel – MSFS toolbar with navigation and quick control buttons (winch, push, tow), spiral and birds for hotspots, animated ropes and winch vehicle.
Key features
a. Winch is the simplest way to get your glider into the air. You can select rope length and elasticity, winch speed, initial acceleration, rope damage and random failures chances.
b. You can replay the existing towplane route or create your own. Or just ask your friend to tow you on his favorite aircraft (but multiplayer towing has limitations). Available settings: connection point (nose, CG, tail), rope elasticity and damage. Also you can ask your crew to push you to the runway (no animated people though), use control device to move and rotate.
c. Simple replay tool to record towplane and glider flights, then replay single aircraft or several at once.
d. Catapult is a perfect option to take off from a small piece of land or aircraft carrier – set initial speed and prepare for launch. Any aircraft eligible for the catapult.
e. Arrestor gear can be used for aircraft carrier landings or emergency landing training on the usual runway. You can use any aircraft, actual tailhook presence is not required.
f. Hotspots are areas with updraft wind active during daytime, which can hold your glider in the air for a much longer time. You can load real life API hotspots or create your own map in LNM. Hotspots can be used together with native thermals (appear under wide clouds during hot temperature) and ridge lift (reflected wind).
g. You can connect external gliding application (like XCsoar) with MSFS by NMEA protocol to receive basic information about the flight – location, altitude, airspeed etc.
h. You can see other pilots, which uses KineticAssistant or ALBATROSS as well, on the world map
i. You can teleport to any selected location/altitude on the world map immediatelly
f. You can install and load any ALBATROSS Racing flight plan with related weather preset and participate in competition or perform training without need to care about best time.

Enjoy more natural-looking vistas! Terrain Coloring can be automated or user-controlled and currently applies to the United States, Canada, Europe, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Iceland. More regions to be added!
Weather Scenarios Now Included!
In perfect harmony with the vegetation and terrain features, you can now choose from a wide array of season-oriented weather presets, totaling over 38 options. Each preset is a carefully crafted masterpiece, capturing the unique charm and challenges of the climate during that time.
Resilient Coloring
This new user-controlled feature keeps vegetation coloring consistent when the ground texture is too light in color, or the underlying ground image contains unnatural coloring. Resilient Coloring avoids vegetation fading or discoloring.
2 New Enhanced Regions; Aspen trees in Colorado and Larch trees in NW USA and SW Canada
Aspen trees, which turn yellow in the autumn, create stunning landscapes along with a backdrop of green conifers. These landscapes can be seen around many areas in Colorado including Aspen, Telluride, Steamboat Springs, Breckenridge, and many others. Larch trees, which are conifers that display yellow and orange hues during autumn can be found in the Cascade Mountains of Washington, in northern areas of Idaho and Montana, as well as in the mountains of southern British Columbia.
Lower Vegetation Density for Cities and Towns
This new innovative user-controlled feature introduces a significant enhancement to the visual aesthetics of cities and towns, creating a more harmonious and natural appearance.
The NEW Advanced Edition Further Enhances Selectable Vegetation Color Tones
We have successfully further enhanced vegetation color tones to present deeper warm tones and cooler cool tones. These subtle differences make a huge impact in-sim! Select the overall color tone that looks best to you, cool, warm, or neutral.
A Multitude of Vegetation Presets
Opt for manual mode with 25 realistic seasonal presets if you prefer. Every season has several unique presets.
Manage Your Seasons and Customization with a Unique, Simple, and Clean App
The automation window empowers users to schedule the application, enabling it to automatically install seasonal presets for both vegetation and terrain coloring. This intelligent feature operates in sync with the current date and time of the year, ensuring that your virtual environment continually reflects the evolving natural world. Let AccuSeason handle it all!
Global Seasons
Seasons span the globe, showcasing a striking dichotomy between the northern and southern hemispheres. Imagine departing from New York during autumn and landing in Buenos Aires, where spring’s lush vegetation awaits your arrival. Alternatively, venture from Sydney during Australia’s winter and touch down in Seattle, greeted by the vibrant greenery of summer!
Enhanced Content
Easily access specialized regional enhancements via the REX cloud as they become available. . . without the need to update the application!
Many Global Areas Updated for Accurate Vegetation Representation
New biomes have been created to depict steppe, tundra, Australian scrublands, New Zealand vegetation, and different conifer regions. Iceland’s conifer trees were replaced with suitable vegetation. A large central part of the United States now features deciduous trees, not conifer forests. Palm trees added to many cities where there were none.
Winter Deciduous Trees
Deciduous winter trees appear for all areas where the simulator depicts deciduous trees and the winter season applies. These trees show significantly less leaves and look great in winter landscapes with or without snow.
Selectable Deciduous Tree Canopy
In addition to the default rounded canopy, you can opt for an irregular-shaped canopy for deciduous trees. This unique canopy design adds a delightful touch, enhancing the diversity of shapes among deciduous trees. Furthermore, it often results in greater color variation within the tree, enhancing the overall depth and richness of its colors.
Tree Height Adjustment
3 options are available for tree height: short, medium, and tall. Additionally, some trees have been properly sized in the app to reflect more realistic proportions, such as the massively sized default trees that are displayed in Sydney Australia.

Lanai Airport (ICAO: PHNY), is a state-owned public-use airport located about 3. 4 miles (6 km) southwest of the central business district of Lanai City, in Maui County, Hawaii. It is the only airport serving the island of Lanai. An emergency landing strip was established on Lanai in 1919. In its 1928 Annual Report, the Territorial Aeronautical Commission reported the excellent cooperation of the Hawaiian Pineapple Company, in making a suitable field available for emergency airplane landings on the Island of Lanai. The field was at Leinukalahua, Kaa. Inter-Island Airways, now Hawaiian Airlines, began operations to Lanai in 1930 with Sikorsky S-38, eight-passenger amphibious planes. The landing field was sod and owned by the Hawaiian Pineapple Company. In 1944 the Territorial Department of Public Works issued a report proposing to construct a Class IV airport four miles southwest of Lanai City. They proposed construction of a flight strip, with runway, installation of boundary lights, contact lights, range lights, rotating and code beacons, control panel, fencing of the entire field and an access road. The existing airport was too small for two-engine planes, and the CAA has advised that it is willing to consider an application for a major airport. A new airport site for Lanai was chosen and on September 18, 1946, Hawaiian Airlines resumed service there using Douglas DC-3s. The field was an unpaved sod strip and as a result was practically unusable in wet weather and almost untenable due to dust and dirt in dry weather. In view of these conditions, air service was not reliable and it was therefore decided to pave the runway and taxiway. In October 1946 a Master Plan was created which showed a single runway of 4200×600 feet. The Territory also planned to construct an administration and terminal building to make the airport readily available to all inter-island operators. On April 12, 1948 work was completed on the reconstruction of Lanai Airport. The airport was officially dedicated on July 12. By 1950 the airport was served regularly by Hawaiian Airlines with twice daily passenger service in two directions and twice weekly freight service. Air mail service was supplied. Trans-Air Hawaii also provided twice weekly air freight service. Additional cargo and non-scheduled flights were made into Lanai by charter air services. By 1955, the airport consisted of 59 acres of land, and had one paved runway, 3-21, which was 80-feet wide and 3,700-feet long. Scheduled service was provided by Hawaiian Airlines, Ltd. , and Trans-Pacific Airlines, Ltd. The airport included Hawaiian Airlines passenger terminal building, a freight terminal building, a paved runway and warm up areas, paved taxiway and apron, wind socks, field maintenance, and crash and fire protection. Lanai Airport’s newly extended runway and terminal building project was completed and dedicated in a special ceremony on October 16, 1966. The project also included construction of a taxiway and apron and a new terminal building as well as the relocation of the existing freight terminal building. Throughout the 1980s, there were minor upgrades to the airport. When the Douglas DC-3 was ultimately replaced by larger aircraft, the airport once again became obsolete. Construction on the new terminal began in January 1993. The spacious new 15,000 square foot terminal, built to accommodate the growth in tourism to Lanai, was dedicated on April 19, 1994. It was five times larger than the structure it replaced. A new parking area, roadway and landscaping were included. Pacific Wings began two daily flights between Kahului and Lanai City on March 1, 2000, the next day Island Air suspended its two daily flights between Lanai and Maui due to a shortage of pilots. Now the only commercial airline, Mokulele Airlines, operates Cessna Grand Caravan 208EX aircraft into Lanai.
