Water fixes are done and the timber logging for which the Fraser River, just south of Vancouver, is famous, is brought back to life. Now if you decide to fly from Vancouver International Airport up the Fraser River into the Rocky Mountains you will see it in a much more immersive and realistic fashion.
The package complements the 3 Asobo bridges and the SamScene Vancouver City Package 2 bridges to avoid any conflicts. One of the photos shows a map of the area covered by each creator. Rkbridger bridges and water fixes are within the two red bounded areas.

This Aircraft has been transferred to Microsoft as part of our license agreement with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024's Standard Edition. This website download is only available to customers who have previously purchased the Edgley Optica before the license transfer. We highly recommend you enjoy the new "AeroElvira Optica" that is part of the new simulator and forgo using this version in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Although there are no conflicts, the new Optica has been completely remodeled and designed to take advantage of everything MSFS 2024 has to offer. We will no longer be updating this version or ensuring compatibility with future MSFS 2020 and MFS 2024 Updates due to the license agreement with Microsoft. Combining the visibility of a helicopter with outstanding slow-flying capabilities, the original concept for the Edgley EA7 Optica was as a three-seat touring aircraft. Designer John Edgley, at that time began the final aerodynamic design in 1974. The first flight was made on 14 December 1979. The engine drives a five-bladed fixed-pitch ducted fan, and the Optica is thought to be the world's quietest powered aircraft. Mounting the whole cockpit assembly ahead of the fan and engine gives the pilot and passengers 270° panoramic vision, plus almost vertical downward vision; the cockpit canopy design allows photography through the panels. Its internal cabin permits three-abreast seating, while baggage space and positions for mounting specialized observation equipment are provided behind the seats and in the unrestricted floor area in front of the two passenger seats. Roles for the Optica are virtually unlimited, from the obvious aerial photography and surveillance patrols to traffic reporting, powerline inspection etc. and it has the ability to perform much of a helicopter's work with fixed-wing economy and range.

The terminal was expanded to include new facilities: a restaurant run by Mitropa, a terrace for visitors, and a hotel (Flughafenhotel).
By the time the work was completed in 1928, it was clear that the new facilities were not sufficient to cope with the rapid growth in traffic.
As early as 1930, a new project for the expansion of Tempelhof Airport was adopted, but this is another story.

Our new system takes advantage of the sloping terrain technology in MSFS. We now have sloping runways and airport surfaces. No more will we have to put up with flat unrealistic airports!. You can see the undulation in the runway and even experiences changes in apron and taxiway slopes.
The scenery utilises many of the new MSFS features, including airport and approach light models. The MSFS Vegetation system is used where possible to populate the airfield with grass, trees and scrubs.

Aberdeen Airport was officially opened on May 30, 1934, it was a grass airstrip located in Dyce. The airport was primarily used for military purposes during this period.
During World War II, Aberdeen Airport played a significant role as a Royal Air Force (RAF) base. It served as a key location for RAF Coastal Command, hosting various squadrons and contributing to maritime patrol and anti-submarine warfare efforts in the North Sea. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Aberdeen Airport continued to expand its infrastructure to meet the growing demand for air travel. New terminals, runways, and navigation equipment were added, enhancing the airport's capacity and efficiency. The airport also saw an increase in international flights, particularly to destinations in Europe.
Today, Aberdeen Airport serves as a vital transportation hub for the northeast of Scotland, facilitating both domestic and international air travel. It plays a crucial role in supporting the region's economy, particularly in industries such as oil and gas, tourism, and commerce. With ongoing developments and upgrades, Aberdeen Airport remains an essential gateway for travellers visiting Scotland and a key asset for the local community. Aberdeen is often referred to as the "Oil Capital of Europe" due to its significant role in the offshore oil and gas sector. Many oil and gas companies operating in the North Sea basin have their operational bases in and around Aberdeen. Helicopters are the primary mode of transportation for personnel travelling to and from offshore installations such as oil rigs and platforms. Several helicopter operators, including Bristow Helicopters, CHC Helicopters, NHV and Babcock Mission Critical Services Offshore, provide scheduled flights between Aberdeen Airport and offshore installations.
EGPD Aberdeen has one main runway for fixed wing aircraft which 16/34 at 1953M long. There are addition runways for helicopter operation, but generally only runway 23 is used for helicopter approaches, in which it as a 6' HAPI guidance lights.
Our scenery is made with HD photographic images that uses PBR materials. With high detail models researched and based on the real airport, including both large and small details to enhance your flight SIM experience. With the advantages of the MSFS engine, we can now bring you sloping runways and enhanced lighting effects not previously possible with other simulators. In addition to airport scenery, we also include general aviation static aircraft scenery to complement and enhance the airport, but will not affect or clash with AI traffic. The scenery is based on the airport as it was in 2023, and is optimized for the new MS flight sim.

Realvolmet Europe V2
Most airports can provide their weather reports on assigned frequencies, what is known as Automatic

Terminal Information Service (ATIS). This weather information is usually bound to a frequency per
airport.
To a larger extend, similar to ATIS, there are other stations (ranging from none to 1 or 2 per country),
that are known as VolMet stations. VolMet stations, contrary to ATIS, do not include just one airport on
their frequency but instead they give weather report/information/trend for a number of (major/important)
airports in the VolMet station's vicinity. These VolMet stations exist in real life, for many years now,
(being the most common source for obtaining weather information for enroute airports, destination etc,
before ACARS and for aircrafts without ACARS) but missing from the simulator.
"RealVolMet Europe v2" package, aims at raising the immersion level during your flights, by including
European VHF VolMet stations, with their correct, real life naming, frequency, airports in each station
etc, but most importantly, weather reports are NOT fake/random just to give the immersion, they
actually provide the real weather report! Simply tune the station's frequency on the aircraft's comms and
listen to the VolMet report!
Incorporating a very powerful, custom made, metar decoder, able to decode, airport, time, wind, wind
variability, visibility, directional visibility, runway visual range reports, all possible weather conditions,
clouds, temperature, dewpoint, pressure along with any supplementary information and any trends
included in the metar reports!
Also every single sound file, is custom made and NO default decoder or default sound files are used,
in order to ensure maximum realism and increase decoding capabilities to real life VolMet standards.
"RealVolMet Europe v2" now incorporates a simple to use, yet powerful user interface, in which
you can also:
- Monitor Simulator connection status
- Monitor aircraft parameters
- Monitor active stations and active weather
- Request weather METAR (even with the simulator not running)
- Voice Generate weather reports using RealVolMet's decoder capabilities (even with the simulator
not running)
- Select sound volume
OR simply, run the application, minimize to system tray and forget.
Features include:
- All possible characters within metar string (weather report/supplimentary information/trend) can be
recognized.
- European VHF VolMet stations coverage with real life data (Name, frequency, included airports etc)
- All data put together into a user friendly (printable) Volmet Station frequencies map and airport tables
(With shortcuts also within the User Interface).
- Fully custom made decoder and sound files for maximum realism.
- Real world live weather, reports
- Easy installation
- No user input/configuration required! Just install and weather reports will be available on the frequencies,
just like in real life.
- New user Interface allowing parameters/status monitoring, weather requests, voice generated weather
reports etc (even with simulator not running)
- Compatible with any aircraft, being default or add-on.
