The 140 stands out from other Cessnas with its unique "art deco", automotive style instrument panels. The interior layout is simply but comfortably furnished and everything is to hand. Many 140s have been restored and continue to give service and pleasure to their owners, the world over. With modifications too numerous to mention, examples are used in air races, record attempts and extreme "bush-flying" with remarkable results.
Together with the 120, this little aircraft gave rise to the future Cessna line of affordable, multi-purpose airframes that have populated our skies for decades and continue to do so today.

When designer Reginald J Mitchell died of cancer in 1937, although having seen the prototype take to the air the previous year, little could he have known just how much influence his brilliant design for "an all-metal monoplane, eight-gun fighter" would have on the outcome of the Second World War.

But it was in the darkest days of 1940, when Britain was on the back foot following a disastrous campaign in France, the following evacuations from Dunkirk and the consequential "Battle of Britain" that Mitchell’s graceful little fighter really proved its mettle.
Alongside the venerable Hawker Hurricane, its stablemate in many RAF squadrons of the day, pilots flew the Spitfire into battle all throughout each day of the long hot summer of 1940.
In this simulation you will find examples of Mk1As which fought in the “Battle of Britain” piloted by some of that battle’s "aces".
You'll also find a faithful recreation of N3200 - QV one of "The Dunkirk Spitfires" unearthed from the Normandy beaches where she had lain since 1940 and restored to perfection and flying condition today.

The CM. 170 Magister is a two-seat, twin-engine military jet trainer produced by French aviation company Fouga. The Magister took its first flight on July 23, 1952 and entered service in 1956. A total of 929 of the aircraft were built, and they served the militaries over a dozen countries, notably those of France, Germany, and Israel. While the Magister was employed primarily for pilot training, some were used in ground attack roles through the years, notably during the Six-Day War and in the Congo Crisis.
The CM. 170 features tandem seating, a main wing with tip tanks that has a span of 39 feet, 10 inches, and a V-tail empennage. Two Turbomeca Marboré IIA turbojets power the Magister, producing up to 880 pounds of thrust each. The jet has a maximum speed of 444 miles per hour, a range of 750 miles, and a ceiling of 36,000 feet above sea level.
With an endurance of up to 2 hours and 40 minutes, pilots have opportunity after opportunity to learn, hone, and perfect their aviation skills in the Fouga CM. 170 Magister.
