Today EasyJet, British Airways and Loganair are the main operators at the airport which is now part of Highlands and Islands Airports Limited (HIAL). This is a public corporation which also owns Dundee, Islay, Inverness, Kirkwall, Stornoway, Sumburgh, Tiree and Wick airports.
Our new system takes advantage of the sloping terrain technology in MSFS. The scenery utilises many of the new MSFS features, including there airport and approach light models. The MSFS Vegetation system is used where possible to populate the airfield with grass, trees and scrubs.
The scenery is designed to blend in with the MSFS aerial images and the auto generated buildings and trees are kept and not removed.

This airport represents a leap forward in improved HD PBR materials and Level of Detail for UK2000. Hundreds of custom-made models and images accurately designed and placed, but more importantly done in an efficient fast performance way, so you don't end up with GBs of data slowing your PC down. It includes line markings with 'black' borders, just like must US airports have.
We've remodelled our GA aircraft library collection to have more details with PBR materials, plus new models like the C172, SR22, P51 and B-17 for the museum. There are many GA light aircraft placed around the airport, just like the real airport. (will not clash with AI, so you get both) It also has many open hangars that you can start your flight from, complete with internal details.
The airside terminal is modelled with internal details, including passengers, seats, plants, vending machines and fast food outlets. There a 21 unique animated Jetways with high details to dock with your aircraft with, plus other animated models. Many other windows have Parallax effects to produce a fake internal effect. The "Helistream" building on the north side is also modelled with a landable surface

The original terminal, constructed in 1960, was replaced by the current facility in 1987.
In 1946, the university established the Institute of Aviation at Willard Airport, offering flight training and conducting research into aviation-related human factors. In 2014, Parkland College assumed responsibility for the flight training program. By 1969, Willard Airport had become the second-busiest airport in Illinois. However, following the Airline Deregulation Act of 1978, many airlines reduced services to smaller airports, leading to a decline in passenger numbers at Willard. Despite these challenges, the airport continues to operate, currently offering non-stop flights to Chicago O’Hare and Dallas-Fort Worth through American Airlines.
For general aviation passengers, Flightstar provides amenities including crew cars, lounges, conference rooms, and an exercise room with shower facilities.
University of Illinois Willard Airport is also famous as one of the few airports that were included in the early versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator, when all we had were a few of lines drawn on a blue and green background!

Currently, SkyWest operating as American Eagle using CRJ-700 to their hub at Phoenix Sky Harbor and Dallas-Fort Worth airports. United express also fly to Denver International several times a day.
Flagstaff main FBO is Wiseman Aviation on the west side, which is regularly used by visiting prop and jet private aircraft. The airfield has a large collection of light aircraft sheds on the north side, along with other hangars and buildings. The airport main and only runway is 21/03, in which 21 is the primary. Runway 21 has an ILS, but be aware it is an OFFSET ILS. If you look at the surrounding terrain, you will see why, as the runway is aligned with a small mountain to the east. Flagstaff airport is above 7000ft, so it regularly experiences snowy conditions, coupled with an offset approach and mountainous terrain, it can be a challenging airport to land at.
Our scenery contains all the custom buildings in high detail with HD PBR textures. It includes open detailed hangers. The main terminal has both internal models and parallax textures to represent the inside. There is also animated flags, nav beacon and 'wigwags'. The terrain is remodelled to reflect the cuttings around the airports runway.

Over the years, the airport has undergone several enhancements and improvements to cater to the growing aviation needs of the community. Leesburg Executive Airport is known for its convenient location, modern facilities, and efficient services for private and corporate aviation operations. It continues to play a vital role in the local aviation industry and serves as an important gateway for travellers visiting the Leesburg area.
Leesburg also took part in testing of a 'remote ATC' system, similar to the system used successfully at London City airport. However, for unclear reasons, the FAA closed down this operation and ATC is now fulfilled by a mobile ATC unit on the main apron.
Leesburg has one main runway: 17-35 at 5500ft long. Runway 17 has an ILS approach, indent IJYO 111. 75.
