Known Limitations

Whilst we’ve tried to endeavour to spawn the aircraft on the threshold of the runway, whilst the position is correct, the heading of the aircraft might be not aligned correctly to the runway. However, when taking off, realign the aircraft and you are good to go!

The aircraft can roll on spawn due to the slope of the runway, just be prepared to apply the parking brake on spawn.

There has been the rare occasion where the aircraft spawns in the air, a simple reload of the scenario has fixed that.

Waypoints on the ND won't show the actual waypoint and instead shows a custom waypoint until MSFS is updated with a fix.
We are working on these issues and will deploy a fix to these as soon as we are able.

Sharktooth Ridge has a small footprint as it is a destination when cruising from a more prominent meetup spot like Bush Plane Campout. That also makes it an adventurous and slightly dangerous approach. Hug the cliffs on the way in, use the wind to your advantage, kick the rudder to straighten up, and try not to go over the edge into the river below!

- Approach Considerations: Land West to East and depart to the West. Tall trees on final and rocks on both sides of the runway present a hazard. Beware of cliffs; ensure adequate braking power. Caution Youtuber drone in the vicinity.

I have known for a while that I wanted to do an airport in the Galápagos Islands and then it hit me! An airport in the middle of the Pacific with a rich history, a fascinating culture and far away from normal life. Mataveri International Airport ticked all those boxes for me and so I immediately began working on it. I have loved every aspect of developing this amazing airport. Learning about Easter Island, understanding the importance of the Moai and understanding the culture has been really humbling. Since it’s also called ‘Easter’ Island, I couldn’t resist putting in some Easter eggs for people to find. Excuse the bad pun!
