Očová Airport ( LZOC ) is a non-public domestic airport with irregular traffic located in the Podpoľanie region, northeast of the town of Zvolen near the village of Očová. It has two grass runways measuring 780 x 25 m and 620 x 40 m.
The region itself offers excellent opportunities for tourism, history lovers will definitely not miss a visit to the historical towns of Zvolen, Banská Bystrica, Banská Štiavnica or Kremnica. The famous Sliač Spa is also nearby. Očová Airport is a good choice if you are planning to visit the region of central Slovakia.
Očová Airport is known for its history and famous personalities. Among the most important personalities who started flying at this airport is undoubtedly the former Slovak fighter pilot and the first citizen of the Slovak Republic, who in 1999 flew as the 385th person into space, retired Brigadier General Ing. Ivan Bella.
Other world-famous personalities of the Očová airport are the legendary and unique Slovak acrobatic group operating since 1981 in the Očová Aeroclub, Očovskí Bačovia. The only group in the world that since 2003 consists of a Z 137 Turbocmelak towing aircraft and four gliders (L-13, L-23 Blaník). Until this year, the group performed at air days in a set of four Z 142 towing motor planes and four L 13 gliders. The group has many performances and records to its credit. The most significant is the one from 2006, where nine gliders successfully took off from Sliač airport, followed by one single-engine plane.

Each airfield was built 1:1 to the prototype, hundreds of detailed photos were taken at each airfield and reconstructed in close exchange with the airfield operators.
Since the developers fly themselves, they have focused on every little detail as well as all approach points at the airfields.
All airfields have the approval of the airfield operators as well as original ICAO approach charts & airfield maps courtesy of Deutsche Flugsicherung and Eisenschmidt.
Installation runs via Aerosoft One, this requires an internet connection and an Aerosoft user account!

Certified for VFR operations only, yet includes a good avionics suite. This is a "Classic" aircraft featuring "Steam" gauges and radios. Yet, controls and systems are easy to operate.

The History:
The C-22J is the last aircraft to be adorned with the legendary Caproni name. Originally known as "Caproncino", then marketed as "Ventura". A very-light jet developed in the 1980s as a military trainer, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft. Powered by two TRS-18 turbojets fed from a dorsal NACA intake, the aircraft reached Mach 0. 47 and was fully aerobatic. The airframe shows its origin in a glider design, the Caproni A-21 Calif. After the merger with SIAI Marchetti, the project was cancelled in favor of the SF-260.

The prototype first flew on 22nd. May 1946 and the design remained largely unchanged right through to its withdrawal from general service as late as 1996.

The Electra was Lockheeds first twin engine, all-metal design ( designed by Lloyd Stearman . . . yes that Stearman !) which first fel the air under its wings in 1935. A highly modified Model 10 E was made famous by Amelia Earhart who tragically disappered during a round-the-world record attempt. The Electra is so evocative of the 30's and 40's and appeared in many movies, carrying Humphry Bogart to some distant Pacific island or later battling... Headcorn, Lashenden Aerodrome EGKH has been recreated faithfully over hundreds of hours and features:
- Over 70 custom 3D objects have been created exclusively for Headcorn; from volumous hangars and rusty fuel pumps, to World War Two outbuildings and modern cafes, all have been meticulously constructed and placed in their correct positions in and around the aerodrome.
