LHC Wittman Tailwind Series
Welcome to another Aircraft Adventure by Lionheart Creations. In this package, you will find two highly acclaimed ‘Experimental Homebuilt Sport Aircraft’ designed by the famous aircraft designer and air racer; 'Steve Wittman'. In this package, you will find two highly acclaimed ‘Experimental Homebuilt Sport Aircraft’ designed by the famous aircraft designer and air racer; 'Steve Wittman'. These are the Wittman Tailwind series W-8 and W-10 Models. The W-8 is a simpler build version with smaller engine and more basic instrument panel, while the W-10 Edition is a radical build with a 6 cylinder engine and a high technology glass screen avionics suite. One is more realistic and slower, while the other, the W-10, is more of a exotic version of what one can do with these unique little Speedster aircraft.
The looks of the Tailwind are radical. They are small, tight fitting, sporty looking aircraft with a cowling shaped like a wedge, its perspex windscreen curving up from the cowling like a wing foil shape, making the entire top of the fuselage a 'lift' inducing wing surface. The wings are like a Bellanca. Fully wood construction, from spar and ribbing, to the skins, they have no rivets, no seams, are sanded and finished with a glass finish, making them ultra slippery with windflow.
The package has many features. A high detail interior, really unique seats, Asobo state of the art soundpacks with all their various high resolution sound effects that even include squeaks and rattles, flap airflow sounds, and the list goes on. The seats in the Tailwind are a jump up. In my design of this package, I thought. . . How would I make my Tailwind? And I thought about seats. On the W-8, I have Lamborghini Countach remakes for seats. They fit you comfortably in a very tight cabin, just like the Tailwind. And for the W-10 Ultra, I wanted something futuristic, like these new modern sport planes have, so I went with modern Off Road Sport Utility Vehicle style seats. For the panels, I wanted the W-8 to be able to look 'vintage' as well as modern. So I have older versions with krinkle paint, aged, as well as wood and also carbon fiber. Note that the W-8 Series Tailwind first appeared in about 1954. Very advanced for its time. So I wished to also include the earlier versions, as well as very modern, up to date variants.
Also. . . I wanted to make these 'Adventure' planes. Part of the 'Theme' of this package was to make a set of 'Adventure' aircraft where you could go on a dream journey, like to Oshkosh, for instance. And so I thought. . . They will need 'Tents' and little folding chairs. So I have included a 'Camping Mode' where you click a button and a small ensemble deploys, consisting of two little camping tents, two fold up, ultra-lite chairs, a cooler for food, and your flight bag. There is even a little campfire that glows red at night and lanterns hanging on the wings on the tie-down loops. Flip those on at night for camping lighting.
Oh, and about 29 paint schemes total… I know. I go overboard on Liveries.
These are meant to be radically fun, yet also with some realistic handling and speeds. Not too fast, but not slow either. Steve would want them to be doing their proper speeds, and then some, if you know what I mean. So if you want a steady level plane, this might not be it. This is what I call a 'Dream Build', a vision of 'What if. . . ' where you have the funds to make a really nice home built plane, and this is what it might turn out to be like.
There is a neat manual with lots of screenshots, information, and diagrams for you to glance over. It is in the W-8 airplane folder, in the Manual folder.
I hope you enjoy them. They were made with much love and enthusiasm.
God bless and Amazing Adventures!

It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a non-hub primary commercial service facility.
Molokai Airport occupies 288 acres (117 ha) at an elevation of 454 ft (138 m) above mean sea level on the central plateau of the island of Molokai. The airport has two asphalt paved runways that accommodate commuter/air taxi and general aviation activities, as well as some military flights: Runway 5/23 is 4,494 by 100 ft (1,370 by 30 m) and Runway 17/35 is 3,118 by 100 ft (950 by 30 m).
Kalaupapa airport
Kalaupapa Airport (IATA: LUP, ICAO: PHLU, FAA LID: LUP) is a regional public use airport of the state of Hawaii, located on the northern peninsula of the island of Molokaʻi, two nautical miles (4 km) north of Kalaupapa Settlement, in Kalawao County. Most flights to Kalaupapa originate from Molokai Airport or from airports on the other Hawaiian islands by unscheduled air taxis and general aviation. It is also used as a cargo facility carrying goods for Kalaupapa, which has no road access from the rest of Molokai.
The airport offers scheduled passenger service from Makani Kai Air, which began providing Essential Air Service (EAS) subsidized scheduled passenger service in January 2012, using two nine-seat Cessna Grand Caravans. Previously, Pacific Wings had provided scheduled passenger service at Kalaupapa; this was subsidized by the EAS program from 2000 until April 2007, when Pacific Wings began providing subsidy-free service. Pacific Wings ceased operations in Hawaii in 2013.
The scheduled service from Kalaupapa to Molokai Airport is among the shortest scheduled flights in the world.
As per the Federal Aviation Administration, this airport had 3,206 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2007, 3,135 enplanements in 2008, 2,035 in 2009, and 1,217 in 2010. It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a non-primary commercial service facility.
This scenery was designed for X-Plane 10 and 11 in 2017. In 2021 we recreate it for MSFS 2020 with few major changes.
Features:
- The most detailed replica of airport buildings and vehicles
- Detailed mesh for the airport area
- Custom surroundings
- All materials created for full PBR
- Shading and occlusion (texture baking) effects on all airport buildings

Now, a single plane could cross the country.
This aerial tour recreates the first historic commercial flight performed by a DC-3.
Although the original flight had fewer stops, we have included several landings to make the flight experience less grueling in the simulator, but without losing its charm. This is a unique opportunity to savor the thrill of visual flight combined with the irresistible charm of one of the most revolutionary aircraft in aviation history.
The current layout of the road network provides a visual reference that certainly makes the task of today’s pilot easier. Nevertheless, it cannot be said that this adventure is a challenge within everyone’s reach. Some experience and confidence with visual flight (or VFR) is needed.
In any case, even less experienced pilots can benefit from this journey and increase their flight experience.
So, welcome aboard a sparkling DC-3 painted in American Airline colors And get ready to fly the legend!
The reconstruction of this aerial excursion is enriched, in addition to the precise flight directions according to the VFR standard, with copious historical, geographical and cultural informations which refer to the time when the flight was first performed, so you will discover the Aamerica of a century ago. nnAll to provide an immersive and educational flying experience.
Features:
New livery for the default DC-3 in American Airlines FlagShip Detroit special paint.
The excursion takes the form of a classic Bush Trip of about 2,100 nautical miles and 10 stops.
Available from the Perfect Flight website the FlightBooks of the trip (in English, Italian, Spanish, German, French and Portuguese). Real tour guides! You will receive the direct download link immediately after purchase.
You can fly the missions with preset settings or change weather, date and time.
You have full access to Checklists and Assistance Options.
Multiplayer feature is also enabled, so you can fly online with your friends.

Cincinnati and Louisville are the 2 largest cities on the Ohio River between Pittsburgh and the Mississippi River. The package starts at the Combs-Hehl Bridge just east of Cincinnati through Louisville and updated to extend further west to Cairo where the Ohio joins the Mississippi. A photo showing the area covered is included.
The default bridges have been replaced with 33 individually and accurately modeled bridges with night lighting to realistically represent the real world. Many of these are iconic steel bridges with unique designs. 2 are on the National Historic Register.
The most famous bridge in Cincinnati is the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge opened in 1866 as the longest suspension bridge in the world at that time. Roebling’s most famous bridge is the Brooklyn bridge which then became the longest at that time.
The Dams, Locks and river traffic barges completely missing or submerged in the default are revealed.
Louisville, the largest city in Kentucky, is famous for the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs (POI added), Muhammad Ali, Louisville Slugger, and UPS which operates it’s Worldport Air Hub from Louisville International Airport (KSDF).
Louisville has several bridges of architectural significance. The Big Four Pedestrian Bridge (originally a railroad bridge) has a computer controlled lighting system which allows the public to request a 3 color light scheme of their choosing. The bridge is lit every evening. I have done a Red, Blue, Green configuration for this package.
The new Abraham Lincoln Suspension bridge is completely missing in the sim but the traffic flows as though there was a bridge there. The sim is using mapping from the time when the old bridge had been removed but the new bridge had just started construction. I have put the new bridge in the package but the connecting roads are missing. There were major changes to the road’s spaghetti junction which affected the adjacent Kennedy Memorial bridge. Fixing the road layout for one bridge would ruin the traffic flow for the other. In the package the Abraham Lincoln Bridge is shown accurately but the connecting roads are under construction.
Bridges in the package from east to west along the Ohio are:
Combs-Hehl Bridges (2)
Daniel Carter Beard Bridges (2)
Purple People Pedestrian Bridge
Taylor Southgate Bridge
John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge; Nat. Historic Register
Clay Wade Bailey Bridge
C&O Rail Bridge
Brent Spence Bridge
Cincinnati Southern Rail Bridge
Carroll Lee Cropper Bridge
Markland Dam Locks and Bridge
Milton Madison Bridge
Lewis & Clark Suspension Bridge
Big Four Pedestrian Bridge with light scheme
Abraham Lincoln Suspension bridge.
John F Kennedy Memorial Bridge
George Rogers Clark Memorial Bridge; Nat. Historic Register
14th Street Rail Drawbridge
Ohio Falls Rail Bridge
Ohio Falls dam and river fix
Kentucky and Indiana (K & I) Rail Bridge
Sherman Minton Double Deck Bridge
Matthew Welsh Bridge
Lincoln Trail Bridge
William Natcher Bridge
Owensboro Bridge
The Twin Bridges (2)
Henderson Rail Bridge
Shawneetown Bridge
Irvin Cobb Bridge
Paducah Bridge
Metropolis Rail Bridge.
Note: The 2 Cairo Bridges at the confluence of the Ohio and the Mississippi Rivers are included in the Mississippi South Bridges package.

This package focuses on the bridges and scenery along the beautiful Oregon south coast from the Chetco River at Brookings in the south up to Depoe Bay. The package includes 21 bridges, 7 lighthouses, improvements to 9 airports and fixes to 200 miles of coastline cliffs and vegetation. The bridges and lighthouses are modeled to accurately reflect their architecture with appropriate night lighting and rotating lighthouse beams. There are a mixture of road and rail bridges. The road bridges are mainly on US route 101 coastal highway.
All items included in the package are listed at the end of this description.
The default coast cliffs and vegetation often detract from the beauty and realism of the bridges and coastline so a multitude of fixes have been made. As an example two of the photos show a comparison of the default Thomas Creek Bridge with the one in this package.
Also along this stretch of coastline there are 9 airports which have been improved as the defaults often show no buildings or have inappropriate houses where there should be hangars. Asobo generic items such as hangars, aircraft, fueling stations, windsocks and airport beacon towers have been added to make the airports more realistic.
Conde McCullough designed many beautiful bridges in Oregon and you will be able to identify his designs by the art deco and gothic details he used. He wanted beautiful bridges as well as utility.
