Carlisle Airport was originally established as an RAF (RAF Crosby-on-Eden) airfield during World War II in 1941. It served as a military airfield and was used for training purposes and transport base with DC-3s. After the war, the airport continued to operate under military control until it was decommissioned in 1960 and was reopened as a civil airport. Carlisle Airport became a hub for general aviation, offering services such as flying schools, private flights, and cargo operations. It also had brief periods of air passengers flights. The Largest know aircraft to land here was a Pan Am 727 in 1988.
In 2004, the airport faced financial difficulties, leading to its closure. The site was subsequently sold to the Stobart Group, a UK infrastructure and support services company. The Stobart Group had plans to redevelop the airport and integrate it into their wider transportation network. After several years of planning and infrastructure development, Carlisle Lake District Airport officially reopened for commercial flights on July 4, 2019. The airport aimed to serve the Lake District region, a popular tourist destination in the UK. Loganair, a regional airline in the UK, became the main operator at the new Carlisle Airport terminal, offering flights to destinations such as Dublin and London Southend. The airport's reopening was seen as a significant development for the region, providing improved connectivity and supporting tourism and business travel.
However, this was all short-lived due to the Virus effects of 2020 and the decline of air operations. Flights never returned and again Carlisle airport faces a uncertain future. The Airport is still in use today by General aviation and can be host to military exercises in the summer months.

The civil portion of the aerodrome is administered by the Municipality and the military portion by the Brazilian Air Force. It shares a modern new control tower
At this moment there is only one regular airline using the airport, this is Azul Brazilian Airlines flying to Porto Alegre.
Santa Maria has two runway:
Runway 11-29 8839'
Runway 02-20 4938' (only used by the military)
The airport has an ILS approach for Runway 11 110. 3 'ISM'
Various military types use the airport including the AMX Jet trainer and C130 Hercules aircraft, but the C130 is now being phased out in favour of the new Embraer KC390 transport/tanker aircraft.

Glasgow Prestwick Airport, located in Prestwick, South Ayrshire, Scotland, has a rich history dating back to its establishment in the early 1930s.
Early Years (1910s-1940s):
The first time aircraft were recorded on the site of Prestwick airport was in 1913. However, Glasgow Prestwick Airport was officially opened in 1935, initially serving as a base for British Transatlantic flights. It played a crucial role during World War II as a military airfield and served as a training base for Royal Air Force (RAF) pilots. During the war, the airport was a significant transatlantic gateway, with many American military personnel passing through on their way to Europe.
Post-War Period (1940s-1950s):
The site was used as a base for US aircraft deliveries. Scottish Aviation Ltd began production of aircraft at Prestwick - a role which was upheld until 1998 under British Aerospace
The airport resumed civilian operations and continued to serve as an important international gateway. It was one of the first airports in the UK to offer transatlantic flights to destinations like New York.
Expansion and Commercial Development (1960s-1970s): During this period Prestwick was also home RNAS Gannet on the North East side operating the UKs SAR, which has now been taken over by Bristows.
Glasgow Prestwick Airport saw significant expansion and modernization during the 1960s and 1970s. The runway was extended to accommodate larger aircraft, and the terminal facilities were upgraded. It became a popular choice for charter flights, especially to European holiday destinations.
Privatization and Commercial Challenges (1980s-1990s):
In 1983, the airport was privatized and sold to Stagecoach Group, a Scottish transportation company. During this period, the airport faced financial challenges and changes in ownership. Prestwick as a Hub for Low-Cost Carriers
(2000s-2010s):
In the early 2000s, Prestwick Airport became known for its role as a hub for low-cost carriers, most notably Ryanair. The airport offered flights to various European destinations, making it popular among budget-conscious travellers.
It was rebranded as "Glasgow Prestwick International Airport" to emphasize its accessibility to Glasgow, although it is located about 32 miles southwest of Glasgow's city center.
Decline and Attempts at Revival:
In the later 2010s, the airport experienced a decline in passenger numbers, and its financial situation became increasingly challenging. Efforts were made to attract new airlines and investments, but the airport struggled to maintain its previous level of activity. The old BAe site on the north side was purchased by Spirit Aerospace, and makes parts for aircraft around the world.
Current Status (2020s):
Glasgow Prestwick Airport is still operational, but its future remained uncertain. The Scottish government had been involved in discussions about its ownership and potential redevelopment. Prestwick has been established as a transit stop for Military aircraft, C17 Globemaster III have become a common site in the Ayrshire countryside, alongside Ryanair flights to holiday destinations. #

The proposal was initially met with scepticism, as the site was a former dockyard on the River Thames that required extensive redevelopment. However, the project received support from the London Docklands Development Corporation, which saw the airport as a way to stimulate economic growth in the area. Construction began in 1986, and the airport officially opened on November 5, 1987, with a single runway and a small terminal building. In the beginning, the airport was only used by Dash-7 aircraft due to its STOL abilities, but later the BAe146 become its most famous frequent user.
The airport initially served only a few routes, including Amsterdam and Paris, but quickly grew in popularity due to its convenient location and fast check-in and security procedures. In 1991, a new terminal building was constructed to accommodate the increasing number of passengers.
Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, London City Airport continued to expand, with the addition of new airlines and destinations, as well as improvements to the terminal and runway. In 2005, the airport underwent a major redevelopment, which included the construction of a new control tower, extended runway, and a second terminal building.
Today, London City Airport serves over 4. 8 million passengers annually, with flights to over 45 destinations across Europe, including major business centres such as Frankfurt, Zurich, and Geneva. The airport has become an important hub for business travellers and has contributed significantly to the economic development of the surrounding area. London City Airport has recently installed the world's first Remote Control tower, consisting of a high platform housing multiple cameras. ATC is now performed many miles in away. The Airport has a single 5500ft runway with ILS and a steep 5. 5' glide path. Only certain aircraft types are certified to fly into London city, but it's a growing list, mainly consisting of EMB170/175 190/195.

This City airport is right in the heart of Belfast, close to the docks, the Exhibition centre and the Titanic museum. Directly opposite is the famous original Shorts of Belfast factory complex which latter became the 'Bombardier' factory but has now changed hands again to 'Spirit Aerospace'
Belfast City airport opened in 1938 and was called Sydenham Airport. It was the main airport at the time for Belfast, but war was too soon changed how it was used. During the war, it was named HMS Gadwall (also known as RNAS Belfast or RNAS Sydenham). Unlike other UK airports, it remained in RAF or RNAS service right up until 1978, carrying the name RAF Belfast. After 1978 it was then purely used by Shorts aircraft manufacturers.
In 1983, it started to attract interest from airlines as a true airport again, and various routes were started up. In 2001 a new modern terminal was build and continued to expand. Today many airlines fly from Belfast City including Flybe(version2), British Airways, EasyJet, Ryanair and Aer Lingus. Ryanair, have since moved away due to the pandemic, but may return at some point.

Currently, SkyWest operating as American Eagle using CRJ-700 to their hub at Phoenix Sky Harbor and Dallas-Fort Worth airports. United express also fly to Denver International several times a day.
Flagstaff main FBO is Wiseman Aviation on the west side, which is regularly used by visiting prop and jet private aircraft. The airfield has a large collection of light aircraft sheds on the north side, along with other hangars and buildings. The airport main and only runway is 21/03, in which 21 is the primary. Runway 21 has an ILS, but be aware it is an OFFSET ILS. If you look at the surrounding terrain, you will see why, as the runway is aligned with a small mountain to the east. Flagstaff airport is above 7000ft, so it regularly experiences snowy conditions, coupled with an offset approach and mountainous terrain, it can be a challenging airport to land at.
Our scenery contains all the custom buildings in high detail with HD PBR textures. It includes open detailed hangers. The main terminal has both internal models and parallax textures to represent the inside. There is also animated flags, nav beacon and 'wigwags'. The terrain is remodelled to reflect the cuttings around the airports runway.

In July 1940 enemy forces touched down, and five years of German occupation followed during World War Two. Following liberation in May 1945, Jersey Airport started passenger flights once again, and traffic dramatically increased.
During the 1950s a tarmac runway was built, and by 1965 jets were able to use the airport. By 1976 the number of passengers using Jersey Airport was over 100,000 and improvements continued into the 1980s.
A modern departures' extension was opened in 1997, providing much more space and better facilities. A new Air Traffic Control Building and Tower were built in 2010, with the old tower removed from the original terminal (restoring it back to it's 1930s appearance)
Our new system takes advantage of the sloping terrain technology in MSFS. We now have sloping runways and airports. No more will we have to put up with flat, unrealistic airports. You can see the undulation in the runway and even experiences changes apron and taxiway slopes.
The scenery utilizes many of the new MSFS features, including their airport and approach light models. The MSFS Vegetation system is used where possible to populate the airfield with grass, trees and scrubs. Scenery also includes animated runway guard lights (wigwags) and rotating radar.
