Product Details
This project does not include LOD optimization, as it is not required for this type of content. Instead, I performed a custom adaptation of default water bodies to ensure proper integration with the new terrain mesh.
Data Sources and Tools
- DEM /DTM data is sourced from Sentinel-1 SAR, processed in SNAP13 for maximum terrain accuracy, reprocessed and optimized for MSFS.
- Mesh Technology: Proprietary, developed in-house,
Key Features
- 10-meter (1/3 arc sec) terrain mesh resolution, based on Sentinel-1 data, offering a dramatic improvement over default SRTM1 (30m) coverage.
- Water body adaptation: default lakes, shorelines, and coastal flats have been flattened and reshaped to match the new elevation model.
- Patch for SEGS Airport (San Cristóbal): default buildings obstructing runway 32 have been removed for better realism and usability.
- Optimized for VFR flying: to fully appreciate the terrain detail, it is recommended to fly below 500 feet AGL.

This add-on replaces the default MSFS ground textures on Fuerteventura and Isla de Lobos with custom high-resolution color-corrected aerial imagery. It also improves the scenery in several ways and includes optional mesh.
1. Aerial imagery
- Version “Standard” (14. 6 GB): high resolution, best ratio between sharpness of textures and file size – recommended for the majority of users
- Version “Premium” (24. 8 GB): ultra-high resolution at densely populated areas (see below) – recommended if you want to fly really low over cities and beaches
- Version “Premium Plus” (47. 9 GB): very high resolution and ultra-high resolution at densely populated areas (see below) – recommended for the absolute best experience
- Improvements over the default MSFS ground textures include:
- realistic manual color correction that brings Fuerteventura to life
- sharper image with more visible details (e. g. rock structure)
- no green tint, especially no green roads and no green sand
- no clouds visible on the ground
- higher resolution (depending on the version used)
- Ultra-high resolution areas of the "Premium" and "Premium Plus" versions:
- Corralejo (town and dune landscape), Costa Calma, Las Playitas and Gran Tarajal
- along the coast from Puerto del Rosario to Las Salinas including the airport and golf clubs
- along the coast from Jandía to Morro Jable
You can decide which version you would like to download and use. You can switch between versions anytime.
2. Mesh (DEM)
- 3 versions with resolutions of 2 m, 4 m and 10 m – you choose the best for your hardware and graphics settings
- Mesh for the airports is included and has been adjusted to eliminate bumps on the ground
- Please note: This mesh is an experimental feature. While scenery and textures are very FPS friendly, this mesh uses more hardware resources, especially the 2 m version. All of the above screenshots were taken with the 2 m mesh add-on.
3. Scenery
- Upgraded Ports
- added docks and thousands of hand-placed motorboats, sailboats, yachts, catamarans and ships to all ports on Fuerteventura
- added cranes to the cargo area of Puerto del Rosario
- placed one cruise ship with night lighting and a helipad that you can land on in Puerto del Rosario
- Enhanced Night Lighting
- added night lighting to all ports and piers
- hotel areas, pools, plazas, sports facilities, beach promenades, etc. are now illuminated at night
- added missing street lights in Morro Jable
- Appropriate Vegetation
- added palm trees and other typical vegetation to the cities
- replaced trees at Playa del Matorral with typical dune vegetation
- improved vegetation to match with the aerial imagery (e. g. bushes instead of trees in rocky areas)
- removed incorrectly placed trees along the coast
- Accurate Coastline
- changed the deep lake at Playa de Sotavento de Jandía to a lagoon
- applied a custom water mask to match the course of the simulator's ocean water with the coastline on the aerial imagery
- beaches, islets, sandbars and other parts of the coast that were partly underwater are now completely visible giving the coastline a more defined look
- Other Improvements
- added 5 lighthouses (World Update 3 has to be installed for them to be visible)
- removed large warehouses in hotel areas
- removed incorrectly placed buildings on top of fields, pools, sports facilities, etc.
Aerial imagery, mesh and scenery are put together as separate add-ons and can be used independently of one another.
Compatibility
This add-on is compatible with the airport for MSFS by MK-Studios (no changes to the files necessary anymore).

Black Square’s Baron Professional brings you one of the most technically advanced aircraft simulations for Microsoft Flight Simulator, with an advanced reciprocating engine simulation, 100+ possible failures, 12 hot-swappable radio configurations, and the most advanced turbocharger, pressurisation and cabin temperature simulations in MSFS.
Black Square’s new tablet interface lets you configure all options, manage payload, control failures and monitor engines, electrical schematics and environmental control systems, all from within the simulator. The failure system allows for persistent wear, MTBF and scheduled failures for nearly every component in the aircraft. The 3D gauges are affected by physics, and can even become stuck without engine vibration, requiring a tap on the glass to free them.
Radio navigation systems are available from several eras of the B58’s history. Fly without GPS via a Bendix KNS-81 RNAV system, or with the convenience of a Garmin GTN 750/650 (PMS50 or TDS). Other radio equipment includes KX-155 radios, KLN-90B, GNS 530/430, KFC 150 Autopilot and an RDR1150XL Weather Radar. A 165+ page manual provides instruction on all equipment and 45 in-game checklists with control highlighting are included for normal and emergency procedures.
This product includes three airframes: the normally aspirated B58 of the mid-2000s, the 1984 B58TC and the pressurised 1985 B58P. Six distinctive interiors and six paint schemes are included from five decades of flying.
Analog Baron Owners: While the panel of the Baron Professional might look familiar, almost all other aspects of the aircraft have been rebuilt with Black Square’s current technology and high standards of quality. The major additions include a custom exterior model, custom sound package from Boris Audio Works, higher quality materials with modifications for each model of aircraft, fine-tuned performance tables, tablet visualisers with all the systems required to drive them, more avionics options and the reciprocating engine simulation that debuted with the Piston Duke. This expansion of the Analog Baron represents 1,000+ hours of dedication, and roughly a doubling of the aircraft’s code complexity. Once you experience Black Square’s latest technology in your favourite B58, the difference will be clear!
Primarily analogue instrumentation augmented with modern avionics is still the most common aircraft panel configuration in the world. Challenge your piloting skills by flying IFR to minimums with a fully analogue panel and no GPS. You’ll be amazed at the level of skill and proficiency you can achieve to conquer such adversity, and how it will translate to all your other flying.
For more information on the aircraft's capabilities and a list of all included avionics and equipment, see the Detailed Description below and the extensive PDF Operating Manual (printer-friendly version).
For an illustrated guide to all major improvements since the Analog Baron’s original release, see this Summary PDF.
