Port Elizabeth International Airport was established in 1929 and is in close proximity of the city. Some nine years later it was re-opened boasting a single runway, a hangar and a concrete apron. Construction to the terminal buildings, runways and air traffic control building started in 1950 and was officially opened in 1955. In 1973 the apron was extended to accommodate bigger aircraft and a new departures terminal was opened in 1980.
The airport currently handles more than 1,2 million passengers per year, over 60 000 scheduled flights and over 800 tons of cargo. The cargo includes flowers, frozen lobster, meat, ostrich skins and mushrooms.
The growth of tourism in the region, along with preparations for the 2010 football world cup, have required a number of improvements including a terminal expansion which can now handle up to two million passengers every year. This facility provides a central retail area as well as a fully compliant international arrivals and departures terminal to complement upgraded amenities for domestic traffic.

FS traffic adds tens of thousands of real-life commercial flight plans from different time periods, giving full worldwide coverage of commercial airline traffic sourced from the same suppliers that power a number of popular flight tracking websites and apps. Flight plan data covers the summer 2022 and winter 2022/23 schedules.
Choose what day of the week you want to fly
The time and day of the week set in your flight simulator will determine which flights you see in the simulator. A Tuesday morning will appear vastly different to a Friday afternoon.
Customise your flight plans with the Traffic Control Centre
This powerful tool enables you to create new flight plans, add your own aircraft liveries and even add brand-new third-party aircraft models as AI, all included in one simple-to-use app.
Take control over your traffic via the FS Traffic in-sim menu
A simple-to-use in-sim menu allows you to remove and regenerate traffic on the fly.
Negligible impact on FPS/performance
The included AI models are built from the ground up to take full advantage of MSFS visuals yet produce no noticeable impact on FPS (when compared to default MSFS Offline Traffic).

Supermarine Spitfire Mk 1A
When designer Reginald J Mitchell died of cancer in 1937, although having seen the prototype take to the air the previous year, little could he have known just how much influence his brilliant design for "an all-metal monoplane, eight-gun fighter" would have on the outcome of the Second World War.

When designer Reginald J Mitchell died of cancer in 1937, although having seen the prototype take to the air the previous year, little could he have known just how much influence his brilliant design for "an all-metal monoplane, eight-gun fighter" would have on the outcome of the Second World War.
Spitfires fought from the earliest days of the War right through to its close in both the European and Pacific theatres and continued to serve with distinction through more conflicts to come all the way to the 1960s.
But it was in the darkest days of 1940, when Britain was on the back foot following a disastrous campaign in France, the following evacuations from Dunkirk and the consequential "Battle of Britain" that Mitchell’s graceful little fighter really proved its mettle.
Alongside the venerable Hawker Hurricane, its stablemate in many RAF squadrons of the day, pilots flew the Spitfire into battle all throughout each day of the long hot summer of 1940.
In this simulation you will find examples of Mk1As which fought in the “Battle of Britain” piloted by some of that battle’s "aces".
You'll also find a faithful recreation of N3200 - QV one of "The Dunkirk Spitfires" unearthed from the Normandy beaches where she had lain since 1940 and restored to perfection and flying condition today.
We will take you through all the necessary steps needed to fly a Spitfire, point out some of the design’s unique features and get you as close as possible to feeling what it would have been like to fly this incredible aeroplane.
So strap on your Sutton harness and "let’s get one up!"

The Long-EZ has a canard layout, with a delta wing and wingtip rudders, and a pusher engine and propelleor. The tricycle landing gear has fixed main wheels with streamlined spats, and a retractable nosewheel. Its predecessor was the VariEze, plans of which were first available to homebuilders in 1976. The prototype, N79RA,of the Long-EZ first flew on June 12, 1979. The Long-EZ was a plans-only kitplane, and several variants of the basic design have surfaced over the years.
The Long-EZ was modern, high performance, custom built long range aircraft featuring the latest advances in aerodynamics and structure to provide good utility, economy, comfort, simplicity and flight safety. The aircraft uses one of two proven certified aircraft engines, the continental O-200 (100 hp) and the Lycoming O-235 (115 hp. ) It has an alternator powered electrical system and can be equipped with an electric engine starter. lt’s cockpit layout is designed to compliment pilot work load with throttle, mixture, carb heat, pitch trim and landing controls on the left side console and a side stick controller on the right console. Seating provides correct armrest, lumbar, thigh and headrest support allowing “recliner chair‘ comfort not found in conventional aircraft seats. This allows long, fatigue free flights. The inboard portion of the large wing strakes are used as baggage areas accessible from the front and rear cockpit.
This renditon features:
- Highly detailed internal and external visual models
- 8K high resolution textures
- 4 liveries with customizable registration markings
- Custom sound package (using legacy sound pipeline - WWise sounds not supported at launch)
- Native Microsoft Flight Simulator flight model *
* - at the moment of the initial release, MSFS does not properly support canard planes - the plane may exhibit a behavior that may differ from the real aircraft in extereme conditions

The MB-339 was developed during the 1970s in response to an Italian Air Force requirement that sought a replacement for the service's existing fleet of Aermacchi MB-326. Its design was derived from that of the MB-326, rather than a new design, and thus the two aircraft share considerable similarities in terms of their design. Aermacchi had found that the MB-339 was capable of satisfying all of the specified requirements while being the most affordable option available. The maiden flight of the MB-339 took place on 12 August 1976; the first production aircraft were delivered two years later.
Roughly half of all MB-339s entered service with the Italian Air Force, while the remainder have been sold to various export customers. As well as being used for training, the type is also flown by the Frecce Tricolori aerobatic display team. The type has been used in combat by both the Eritrean Air Force during the Eritrean–Ethiopian War of 1998-2000 and the Argentine Naval Aviation during the Falklands War of 1982. In both conflicts, the MB-339 was typically flown as an attack aircraft.
This version for Microsoft Flight Simulator features:
- Two extremely detailed visual model: MB-339A and MB-339PAN (MLU)
- Extremely detailed cockpit model (front seat only)
- Flight model based on the new Microsoft Flight Simulator model
- Seven different 8K liveries: Frecce Tricolori, Italian Air Force Camouflage, Italian Air Force Ghost Grey, United Arab Emirates, Armada Argentina, Royal Malaysian Air Force and factory colors.
- Custom sound package (in FSX legacy mode)
Known issues at the release (v1. 00):
- panel backlighting alway on at night
- Lomcovàk maneuver not supported by flight model
- AHRS/GPS functionality limited to DATA model only
