LROP - Bucharest Otopeni Airport v2
Bucharest-Henri Coandă Airport, also known as Bucharest-Otopeni Airport (IATA: OTP, ICAO: LROP), is the main airport serving the city of Bucharest, the capital of Romania. It is named after Henri Coandă (1886-1972), an engineer, scientist and pioneer of Romanian aerodynamics.
In the area where the airport is located today there was a military facility with a 1,200-metre runway, used between 1940 and 1944 by the Third Reich Air Force and then, from the end of World War II to 1965 by the Roman...
In the area where the airport is located today there was a military facility with a 1,200-metre runway, used between 1940 and 1944 by the Third Reich Air Force and then, from the end of World War II to 1965 by the Romanian Air Force.
In 1965, it became clear that Bucharest’s only civil airport, Bucharest Băneasa Airport (now Aurel Vlaicu International Airport), would no longer be sufficient to withstand the increasing air traffic, and a new airport was decided. The choice fell on the existing military structure of Otopeni: the works lasted about 4 years and focused on the construction of the passenger terminal and the extension of the runway to 3,500 meters.
In 1969, the first civilian flights began. A new development occurred in 1986, with the inauguration of the second runway, of equal size and parallel to the previous one, which allowed to reach the capacity of 35 air movements per hour.
In September 2004, the airport’s name was changed to Henri Coandă, a pioneer of aviation, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of civil aviation operations.
In the three-year period 2008-2011 the construction of the new terminal was completed and in 2012 the construction of the new departure terminal, equipped with a new baggage handling system.
Recently the construction of a new railway-metro line that connects the main railway station (Gara de Nord) with Otopeni airport.
Last year the apron #2 has been completely redone, with many new parking places.
Bucharest Airport is a focus city for many international airlines:
Aegean Airlines, Air Bucharest, Air France, Air Serbia, Arkia Airlines, ASL Airlines Belgium, Animawings, Austrian Airlines, Becker Aviation, British Airways, Cargo Air, Corendon Airlines, Croatia Airlines, DHL European Air Transport Leipzig, EL AL, Eurowings, FlyDubai, HISKY Europe S. Quickie Q-200
This is the Q-200 high performance sport aircraft by Quickie Aircraft Corporation. This sleek two seater was a homebuilt 'kit plane' that you assembled. This version was the high performance 100HP model powered by the Continental O-200. Some interesting features are the Flexor reverse spoiler system, the twin center fuel tanks that used a fuel transfer system similar to Concord... This is the Q-200 high performance sport aircraft by Quickie Aircraft Corporation. This sleek two seater was a homebuilt 'kit plane' that you assembled. This version was the high performance 100HP model powered by the Continental O-200. The futuristic design featured a Canard 'Twin Wing'layout with elevators on the front wing and ailerons on the wing. Some interesting features are the Flexor reverse spoiler system, the twin center fuel tanks that used a fuel transfer system similar to Concord. The main landing gear was mounted in aerodynamic skirts in the wingtips for the front wing. Incredibly, the Q only weighed 550 LBS dry, 1100 Max at take-off, and featured a very small wingspan of 16 feet total. Mind you, you had two sets of wings.
This package features 13 different exterior high detail paint schemes that range from base line kit style, to supercar color selections, to air racer variants with wild paint schemes and stripes. Interiors vary from nearly each aircrat with panels in gray, light blue, striped paint and color paint, carbonfiber, and also wood. Some features include 3D instrumentation, the Asobo GNS530 GPS system, a simple base line autopilot to help on long flights, an elaborate warning light system, Flexor controls, fuel readouts for both tanks and a fuel transfer system that requires constant attention on long flights. Other features include OshKosh parking mode (parking mode) that deploys two small camping tents at the tail, and a plexi selector that changes the 'outside only' plexiglass bubble between tints of 'dark, medium, and nearly clear' plexi choices. The plexi also features the now famous Asobo rain effects with streaming rain, and also fine detail plexi scratches.
The aircraft will max out at 180 knots, full throttle. This is a HOT little plane with very moderate power to weight ratio. It is recommended that you do not use full throttle on take-offs. Just like other high performance sport planes, such as the Pitts biplane and Extra 330, you must be careful on your rollout on take-offs, lest you spin her out accidentally.
I have created a nice manual for it that you can download and read before purchase to make sure you would be happy with her. This cool manual features a lot of screenshots and notes with arrows pointing to the various systems and lights and knobs and bits, explaining how everything works, the hidden features you do not always find, and even the basics of how to fly it.
If you love futuristic things, X-Wings, sport aircraft, high performance planes, homebuilts, radical aircraft, things that are NOT NORMAL, this baby is definitely for you!
NOTE: You 'MUST' know where your MSFS Community folder is. You 'MUST' manually direct this plane into that folder to install it. This installer cannot 'see' MSFS on computers.
UPDATE: Build 1. 1 is the present 'Build' version available.
Update carried out; Transponder was not turning on with cold starts. This is now repaired. This makes the Q200 for MSFS Build 1. 1.

PERFORMANCE AND ALTITUDE AND INSTRUMENTATION UPDATES!
* Manifold Pressure and Fuel Flow instrument recalibrated
* Engine tunes carried out for high realism in various altitudes
* Recalibration of several engine related instruments that were slightly off
* Tuning to AI Autopilot system
* Addition of tuneable ASI Speed Strip disc in ASI to calculate TAS speeds at high altitude

* Tuning of Effects for new version of MSFS Effects management
* Manifold Press and TACH moved to middle for easier visibility
* Functioning HOBBS Engine Time Meter installed in Tach instrument
* Belly Landing Capability
* You can now fly the Trinidad by the numbers. Remember, the limits are for 4 passengers at 170 lbs each, plus 60 lbs in the rear boot, and fuel topped off to max limit, not max fuel. Make sure you stay within the * weight limits.
* There was an update by Working Titles that broke autopilots in the Navigation section. I am hoping they fix that soon. I just flew her and she followed course for a while, but let go.
* You can now practice belly landings in the Trinidad, as like the Bellanca Super Viking.
* When fully laden, figure a slow climbout for sure, especially when you get close to 25K feet. Bring a jacket. and Oxygen…
Hope you enjoy the updates. Much was done to the engine. Ron worked his tail off on it to get her to go by the numbers.

LHC
Update: Build 4. 6. 4;
* Avionics Update to WT GPS Screens; GNS530 and GNS430 are now fully WT.
