The Typhoon is a highly agile aircraft, designed to be an effective dogfighter in combat.
The Typhoon is a dual engine, loosely coupled delta canard tailless design featuring a 53-degree leading edge sweepback, relaxed stability, and a digital fly-by-wire control system.
It is a highly agile aircraft at all speeds, subsonic and supersonic, achieved by having intentionally relaxed stability, combined canard and flaperon control surfaces, and a very low wing loading.
The quadruplex digital fly-by-wire control system manages the inherent instability, allowing better maneuverability than direct pilot control.
It is described as "carefree" and prevents the permitted manoeuvre envelope being exceeded.
Roll control is primarily achieved by differential use of the flaperons. Pitch control is by coupled operation of the canards and flaperons.
The wing leading edges are fitted with automatic movable slats. A single large rudder provides yaw control.
Engines are fed by a chin double intake ramp situated below a splitter plate.
A hydraulically operated air-brake is integrated behind the cockpit, moving into a near-vertical position to maximise drag when required.
The Typhoon uses lightweight construction (82% composites consisting of 70% carbon fibre composite materials and 12% glass fibre reinforced composites) as well as aluminium lithium and titanium components on leading edge surfaces.
The airframe has an estimated lifespan of 6,000 flying hours.
This simulated version features:
- high detail visual models
- liveries for every squadron that operates the EF-2000
- detailed and realistic avionic and systems simulation
- finely tuned flight model
- accurate sound package

Step into the transonic era with an exceptional recreation of the Hawker Hunter Mk. 58, one of the most iconic military aircraft of the 1950s and 60s. Developed exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, this add-on delivers an outstanding level of realism through meticulous 3D modelling, photorealistic 4K textures, a fully interactive cockpit, and a flight model validated by former Swiss Hunter pilots.
Designed for enthusiasts of precision flying, historical authenticity, and high-performance aircraft, the SwissMilSim Hunter Mk. 58 offers complete immersion—from taxi to high-speed transonic flight.
Historical Background – Hawker Hunter Mk. 58
A Milestone of 1950s Aviation
The Hawker Hunter Mk. 58 represents the dawn of a new generation of jet fighters. Powered by the compact and powerful Rolls-Royce Avon axial-flow turbojet, it achieved an excellent thrust-to-weight ratio. Combined with a 35° swept wing and an all-moving tailplane optimised for transonic flight, the Hunter delivered remarkable performance—setting a world speed record of 1,171 km/h in 1953.
Entering service in 1954 and produced in nearly 2,000 units, it earned a reputation for robustness, agility and versatility. Operated by around twenty nations, the Hunter served as an interceptor, ground-attack aircraft, reconnaissance platform and two-seat trainer. It famously equipped the Black Arrows, the legendary RAF aerobatic team.
The Hunter in Switzerland
Switzerland introduced the Hunter in 1958, initially as the Mk. 6 before upgrading to the Swiss-specific Mk. 58.
A total of 160 aircraft were operated, including several two-seat variants. Armed with four 30 mm cannons and compatible with AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles and a variety of air-to-ground stores, the Swiss Hunter performed air defence, surveillance and ground-support missions for 36 years.
A major modernisation in the 1980s extended its service life until 1994. The aircraft also became the founding platform of the Patrouille Suisse, created in 1964.
A Living Legacy
Today, 72 Hunters remain airworthy worldwide, mostly with civilian operators, while around fifty others are displayed in museums. In Switzerland, approximately thirty aircraft are still preserved or visible.
Comparable to the Dassault Mystère IV, F-86 Sabre or MiG-17, the Hawker Hunter Mk. 58 remains a defining symbol of the transition into the transonic era.

Seoul, S. Korea, is a very scenic city with mountains, a major river and the ocean all contributing to it’s beauty. Major rivers through cities are very noticeable and the lack of accurate bridges ruins the realism of the flight.
This package fixes that for Seoul with modeled bridges representing the correct architecture with appropriate night lighting which, in many cases, is very colorful with traffic flowing on the bridges. Rail bridges which are completely omitted in the sim are also modeled. Some of the bridges are dual purpose for both road and rail with several double deck bridges.
The package includes all the bridges on the Han River from the Ilsan Bridge just north west of Gimpo International Airport travelling east through Seoul to the Paldang Dam. Also included are 2 Incheon bridges, the very large cable stayed Incheon Bridge and the Yeongjong Bridge, a large double deck suspension bridge.
Photogrammetry should be ON to ensure bridges integrate correctly with sim.
All bridges have Exclusions applied so if there are conflicts with any other developer's addons these can be eliminated by using the Package Reorder Tool in the Sim.
All bridges have POIs and are listed below. An attached photo shows the coverage area.
