San Carlos Airport is home to over 30 aviation-related businesses. The airport is also home to the Hiller Aviation Museum. The museum specializes in the history of Northern California aircraft as well as helicopter history. The museum was founded by Stanley Hiller Jr. , who designed the world's first successful coaxial helicopter and produced a working model at the age of 17.

This package contains approximately 35 detailed bridges, viaducts, and freeway interchanges, covering most major bridges/interchanges within the city of San Diego along with many notable ones in outlying areas. Central San Diego is covered by native photogrammetry within MSFS, but the poor presentation of brid... Enhance your flights around the bays, mesas, and canyons of the San Diego metropolitan area with this package of hand-modeled bridges, coastline enhancements, and freeway interchanges.
This package contains approximately 35 detailed bridges, viaducts, and freeway interchanges, covering most major bridges/interchanges within the city of San Diego along with many notable ones in outlying areas. Central San Diego is covered by native photogrammetry within MSFS, but the poor presentation of bridges in the photogrammetry, looking like solid walls or dams, is made especially stark by the dramatic terrain of the San Diego area (see comparison screenshots).
The only complete solution for these shortcomings is to model each bridge individually, by hand. This package replaces photogrammetry bridges (or default/extrusion type bridges outside of photogrammetry areas) with detailed high-quality models:

A large number of freeway interchanges are also hand-modeled and included, covering every interchange on I-5 and I-805 from CA-54 in the south to the CA-56 interchange in the north, along with many other interchanges on I-8 and CA-94 (See project map for more information). The number of included interchanges is somewhat unusual compared to my other bridge packages, but with San Diego's severe terrain, I found that properly modeling these was essential to obtaining the right look from above.
Each bridge/interchange is fully hand-modeled to a high degree of accuracy and detail, and includes PBR materials, custom lighting, and accurate road striping; many also include customized details such as custom-modeled light fixtures, hand rails, highway signs, and/or toll plazas. All bridges utilize LOD models tuned to balance appearance and performance. Most bridges include terraforming and vegetation corrections in the vicinity for the best possible appearance. Bridge approaches are modeled where they exist in real life, so photogrammetry should not be needed (though still recommended).
In addition to modeled bridges, this package also includes extensive shoreline corrections around Coronado, Point Loma, Naval Station San Diego, Mission Bay, Mission Valley, and the tidal lagoons from Torrey Pines to as far north as Oceanside. I've also included my custom vegetation hand-corrections for Balboa Park.
Compatibility notes: this package has been tested in conjunction with major payware scenery including SamScene San Diego Modern City, KSAN by both LatinVFR and BMW; and various freeware airports for the area, with no major issues noted. Nevertheless, I recommend using the in-game Package Reorder Tool to place this scenery package on a higher layer than any others for the area.

Sitting on the Eastern end of the Isle of Wight, Sandown Airport has a rich past. Sandown was originally opened as Lea Farm Airport in 1935 with a focus on general aviation and air services. During World War II, it served as a training airfield, playing a vital role in preparing pilots for air combat. Post-war, Sandown transitioned into a hub for general aviation under the name ‘The Isle of Wight Airport’. By the early 1970’s, unfortunately, general aviation operations declined... Sitting on the Eastern end of the Isle of Wight, Sandown Airport has a rich past. Sandown was originally opened as Lea Farm Airport in 1935 with a focus on general aviation and air services. Post-war, Sandown transitioned into a hub for general aviation under the name ‘The Isle of Wight Airport’. In 1976 it was acquired by new owners who reopened Sandown airport with the goal of it being a more attractive general aviation hub, and it has since flourished.
Today Sandown Airport is a hive of activity. It hosts numerous fly-ins, events, skydiving and gatherings that draw aviation enthusiasts from across the UK and beyond. The Wight Aviation Museum also sits onsite and helps visitors learn about the the Isle of Wight’s extensive aviation history. Sandown airport also prides itself with regular live music and a wide variety of food offerings which all contribute to why in the 2021 Sky Demon pilot’s survey, Sandown was ranked as the UK’s favourite airfield.
Sandown has been faithfully recreated by Burning Blue Design, undertaking on-site visits to ensure the highest levels of accuracy. It features:

- Transparent and translucent glass panes can appear very dark when subject to particle effects such as rain, snow and fog. This is a known bug that Asobo/Microsoft are aware of and will hopefully fix in the near future.

Located 7 miles away from our main site at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, Sandtoft Airfield is the home to Yorkshire Aero Club’s satellite base. The airfield is located a short 7 minute drive from Junction 5 of the M18 motorway, making it easily accessible by road. In addition to our training facility, the airfield benefits from having an onsite cafe which is open 7 days a week. The cafe is situated right next to the runway and has an outside area, perfect for viewing the aircraft take-off and land. This makes an ideal vantage spot for those customers undertaking introductory lessons, should they have friends and family attending with them to wave them off as they take to the skies.
The history of Sandtoft dates back to 1944 when the airfield was an RAF base for the Halifax and Lancaster bombers. Nowadays the airfield sports an 886m tarmac runway with runway lights so can be utilised during both day and night. Due to the airfield having less restrictive access in comparison to Doncaster Sheffield Airport, Sandtoft is the ideal location for those who are already qualified and wish to undertake aircraft self fly hire. As part of the Yorkshire Aero Club annual membership, our members now benefit from free landing fees at Sandtoft.

There are nine major Azorean islands and an islet cluster, in three main groups. These extend for more than 600 km (370 mi) and lie in a northwest-southeast direction. The vast extent of the islands defines an immense exclusive economic zone of 1,100,000 km2 (420,000 sq mi). Santa Maria Airport (IATA: SMA, ICAO: LPAZ) is an airport on Santa Maria Island, in the autonomous region of the Azores, Portugal, serving the municipality of Vila do Porto, within the archipelago and to the continent. It has three runways, with the largest runway (at 3,048 m long) being the longest in the archipelago.
It was built in the context of the Second World War, by US troops in order to maintain supply lines to Europe, and inaugurated on July 26, 1945. A year later, on June 2, 1946, American forces transferred title/control to the Portuguese State. The forerunner of SATA Air Açores (Sociedade Açoriana de Transportes Aéreos) initiated services concurrently to São Miguel and Terceira from Santa Maria Airport on August 5, 1947, using a plane christened "Açor".
Transportes Aéreos Portugueses (TAP) began lay-over flights to this airport on December 7, 1962, and eventually inaugurating trans-atlantic service between Santa Maria-New York (April 26, 1969) and Santa Maria-Montreal (May 8, 1971).
For a while, Air France's supersonic Concordes were routed to Santa Maria on refueling layovers between Paris and Caracas.
