Loemühle Airfield (ICAO : EDLM) is a commercial airfield in Marl ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) on the city limits of Recklinghausen, in Germany.
Since the late summer of 2003, the Marl-Loemühle airfield has also been the home of the German Chaos Aviation Team and since 2005 the R3 Club goes Airport Party has also been taking place at the airfield. Stadtlohn-Vreden airfield (ICAO : EDLS) is located in the beautiful western Münsterland park landscape, just a few kilometers from the A 31 motorway. The airfield is in the immediate vicinity of the Dutch border.
With a 1,200 meter long and 30 meter wide lighted runway, it offers an excellent platform for your flying activities and ideal conditions for individual business travel flights. The airfield is therefore one of the main landing sites for business travel in Germany and the Nether... Since then, the airfield areas have been leased to Verkehrslandeplatz Damme Betriebsgesellschaft (Damme Public Landing Site Operating Company) , whose shareholders are also the airfield owners.
On 20 March 2012, a retired Transall aircraft of the German Armed Forces , first registered in 1970, landed on the grounds of Damme Airfield and has since been exhibited there by the Museum of Technology, Nature and Aviation.

The airfield facilities were further expanded through the club members' own efforts without public funding. After the construction of the first hangars, the runway was extended to 800 metres and asphalted in 1980. In 1986 the tower was opened, followed by a new clubhouse in 1990.
The asphalt runway runs in an east–west direction (90°/270°) and is 800 metres long. The airfield houses a flight school as well as a catering business. The airfield is a so-called commercial airfield : a commissioner for air traffic control is employed full-time. The airfield can be approached all year round by gliders, aircraft up to 5. 7 t gross weight and helicopters.

The airfield is also used as a jumping site by the Wildeshausen skydiving club
