King County International Airport, commonly known as Boeing Field (IATA: BFI, ICAO: KBFI, FAA LID: BFI), is a public-use airport situated just south of Seattle's central business district. Established in 1928, it's one of the oldest operating airfields in the United States and was Seattle's primary airport until the opening of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in 1944. Boeing Field spans an area of 634 acres (257 ha) and is positioned at an elevation of 21 feet (6 m).
