"RealTurb CAT Areas Global for MSFS v2" incorporates a new logic for enroute turbulence (CAT) compared to the previous version, while adding support to terrain and in-cloud turbulence!
Enroute turbulence, is not linked and limited to SIGMET's CAT or TS areas in this version 2 of RealTurb CAT Areas Global for MSFS! Instead the actual wind in the simulator, at the aircraft's position, is analyzed for any wind shifts / variations thus inducing the turbulence effects to more realistic positions (eg. where wind direction and / or speed changes). This allows to open the envelope to a global level instead of being limited to SIGMET's CAT or TS areas!
Terrain turbulence feature is also added in this version, extending the RealTurb turbulence effects also to lower altitudes, when flying near terrain (with wind blowing from the terrain direction).
An approach with wind direction being from the terrain side will now feel different compared to the approach with wind direction being from the sea or relatively flat ground.
In-Cloud turbulence is another feature, which analyzes cloud density when flying into clouds, to provide dynamic turbulence effects. In this way, a certain cloud density is required for the effects to be present in the first place, allowing also for dynamic effects strength, again based on the cloud density.
Features include:
- Global coverage
- Turbulence effects based on wind vs terrain analysis, cloud density, wind variations and speed.
- Realistic (custom made) turbulence effects
- Custom made turbulence sounds (linked to aircraft's G Load)
- Easy installation and usage (Just install and forget - RealTurb will auto load when the simulator starts)
- No user input/setup required for the effects to work. All is analyzed automatically!
- Settings Dialog to control effects strength / altitude envelope / sounds / sounds G-Load thresholds,
if the user wants to change default values.
- Option for parameters to be saved as aircraft title specific.
You can also try the demo version of "RealTurb CAT Areas Global for MSFS v2", before purchase, which offers a fully functional product for 10 days after installation. Click here to download the demo version installer.

KBFI Boeing Field MSFS is a highly detailed scenery of Boeing Field, officially King County International Airport in Seattle, WA, USA. This product is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator.
King County International Airport, commonly known as Boeing Field (IATA: BFI, ICAO: KBFI, FAA LID: BFI), is a public-use airport situated just south of Seattle's central business district. Established in 1928, it's one of the oldest operating airfields in the United States and was Seattle's primary airport until the opening of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in 1944. Boeing Field spans an area of 634 acres (257 ha) and is positioned at an elevation of 21 feet (6 m). The airport features two asphalt runways: 14R/32L, which is 10,007 by 200 feet (3,050 x 61 m), and 14L/32R, measuring 3,709 by 100 feet (1,131 x 30 m).
Boeing Field has played a crucial role in the Boeing Company's history. In the 1960s, the initial assembly of the Boeing 737 aircraft took place at Boeing Field because the Renton factory was at capacity with the production of the Boeing 707 and 727 models. After completing 271 aircraft, the production was moved to Renton in late 1970. The airport also features facilities for final preparations and delivery of Boeing 737 aircraft after their first test flights, including a paint hangar and flight test facilities.
Boeing Field features two primary runways: 14R/32L and 14L/32R. These runways cater to a diverse range of aircraft, from light single-engine planes to large commercial jets. The airfield is equipped with a modern control tower, multiple hangars, a terminal building, and extensive maintenance facilities. It serves a variety of aviation needs, including commercial, cargo, military, and general aviation.
One of the airport's key attractions is the Museum of Flight, which is a remarkable institution dedicated to the history and science of aviation and space flight. Established in 1965, it has grown into one of the largest and most significant air and space museums in the world. This museum offers a rich exploration of human flight, from the earliest dreams of soaring in the sky to the complex realities of modern space exploration. The museum's collection boasts over 150 aircraft and spacecraft, along with thousands of artifacts, photographs, and documents. One of the highlights of the collection is the original Boeing 747 prototype, which revolutionized long-distance air travel. Also on display is an ex-British Airways Concorde, one of the few places in the world where visitors can experience this icon of supersonic travel. Beyond these headliners, the museum's exhibits span a wide range of aviation history. These include World War I and II fighter planes, early commercial airliners, and a growing array of space exploration vehicles. The personal stories of pilots, engineers, and passengers bring these artifacts to life, offering insights into the human side of air and space travel.
Boeing's presence at the airport is marked by the Boeing Delivery Center , primarily focused on the final stages of aircraft delivery for Boeing’s commercial airplanes. Located near Seattle, Washington, this facility is where Boeing completes the handover of its newly manufactured aircraft to customers. The main activities at the Delivery Center involve final preparations of aircraft after they leave Boeing's manufacturing sites. This includes conducting final inspections, implementing customer-specific customizations, and, occasionally, performing additional flight tests. Customers, typically airlines or private buyers, visit the Delivery Center to inspect their new aircraft before taking delivery. This inspection is a crucial part of the aircraft purchase process, ensuring that the specifications and quality meet the purchaser's requirements. The facility is equipped to handle various Boeing models and is designed to cater to the needs of different customers. The Boeing Delivery Center plays a significant role in Boeing's supply chain, marking the final step in the aircraft manufacturing process before airplanes enter service. It is an essential part of Boeing's overall operation, facilitating the transition of aircraft from manufacturing to active use by airlines and other operators around the world.
Boeing Field also serves as a key testing and delivery site for Boeing aircraft. New models and variants undergo rigorous flight testing procedures at the airport, taking advantage of its facilities and airspace. The airport's strategic location and infrastructure make it ideal for these critical phases of aircraft development and delivery.

This conversion of the FSX/P3D version has been updated with improved graphic and model details as well as full compatibility with the new MSFS systems.
The Winjeel makes it's way to MSFS. The Winjeel is a two-three seat, low wing, fixed undercarriage tail dragger. Construction is all metal with fabric covered control surfaces. Power is provided by a 450hp Pratt & Whitney Wasp Junior nine cylinder radial engine driving a two bladed Hamilton Standard variable pitch propeller.
The Winjeel was the Royal Australian Air Force's primary piston trainer from 1955 to 1975. The Winjeel replaced the Tiger Moth and Wackett aircraft and was itself replaced by the NZAI CT-4 Airtrainer.
During the Vietnam war America's use of Forward Air Control (FAC) aircraft had proved to be a great asset so in 1969 four Winjeel's were modified for use in this role by the addition of a smoke grenade dispenser and upgraded communications equipment. FAC Winjeel's were not used in combat but were used in training. Finally in 1994 the FAC Winjeel's were replaced by Pilatus PC-9 turboprops which brought an end to the Winjeel's nearly 40 years of service.
A total of 62 Winjeels were produced from 1954 to 1958 and delivered to the RAAF. 2 prototype aircraft (CAC-22) were produced in 1951 and required extensive testing and modifications to arrive at the final design of the Winjeel.
Original plans called for the prototypes to be fitted with Pratt & Whitney Wasps and CAC's own engine design in the production aircraft. This engine was a seven cylinder radial called the R-795 Cicada. In 1951 the Cicada program was scrapped and Winjeels were all fitted with Pratt & Whitney Wasp Junior engines (the same engine used in De Havilland Beavers).
Interestingly, for a trainer, the Winjeels had three seats. Both the RAF and RAAF had specified three seats for their post WWII trainers. The theory being it would be possible to train two pilots at once, one being instructed whilst the other watched. This theory did not last long.
According to the Australian civil aircraft register there are 30 Winjeels currently registered. This FSX version is based on VH-OPJ (serial no A85-429 ) which is operated by Classic Aero Adventure Flights in Ballina NSW (http://www. classicaero. com. au). This particular aircraft has been modified to fit an additional seat to make it a four seater aircraft.
