Engineers at Cessna based the Citation Latitude on their highly successful Cessna Model 680 Sovereign. The Model 680 took its maiden flight in February of 2002 and quickly established itself as a highly versatile offering due to its comfortable cabin, speed, long range, and exceptional short-field performance. To create the Citation Latitude, engineers at Cessna kept the Model 680 wing, engines, and empennage, and upgraded the fuselage. The Citation Latitude fuselage has a flat floor and is wider and taller than that of the Model 680, boasting stand-up room (6 feet from floor to ceiling).
The Cessna Citation Latitude features a low-mounted main wing with a swept leading edge and “swooplets,” small winglets for the mitigation of drag-inducing vortices. It has a cruciform empennage and a retractable tricycle undercarriage. Its cockpit has the Garmin G5000 avionics suite, comprising three 14-inch color LCD displays and four touchscreen controllers. The system includes Garmin Synthetic Vision, advanced diagnostics, graphical weather, dual Garmin communication / navigation units, and integrated autothrottles.
The aircraft measures 62 feet, 3 inches in length, stands 20 feet, 11 inches in height, and has a wingspan of 72 feet, 4 inches. It is powered by two fuselage-mounted Pratt and Whitney Canada PW306D1 turbofan engines, each of which generates 5,907 pounds of thrust. The Citation Longitude is a twin-engine, super midsize business jet developed and manufactured by American aviation producer Cessna, a subsidiary of Textron Aviation. A member of the long-running Cessna Citation family, the Citation Longitude took its maiden flight on October 8, 2016 and entered service in October of 2019. The model is renowned for its speed, efficiency, and quiet and luxurious cabin. It has seating for up to 12, including one or two pilots in the cockpit, comprises state-of-the-art avionics and flight controls, and boasts transatlantic range.
Cessna developed the Citation Longitude from its successful Citation Latitude, notably by extending the fuselage design of the Latitude by six feet. The Longitude features a low-mounted, swept main wing, a T-tail empennage, and fuselage-mounted turbofan engines. The Longitude uses the Garmin G5000 fully integrated flight deck with large color touchscreens. Airline-grade scoring, in real time
Every touchdown is graded A+ to F against the same metrics professional flight-data monitoring (FOQA) uses: sink rate at touchdown, peak G, centreline accuracy, touchdown-zone placement, approach stability, and crosswind handling. Grades are anchored to FAA, EASA, and manufacturer (FCOM) limits, so the verdict actually means something. No vague “nice landing”.
Coaching after every landing, not just a number
FLARE explains the score in plain language: what you did well and what to work on. It flags a tailwind landing, carrying power into the flare, flaring too high, a hard bounce, a fast or slow approach, a steep or shallow path, or a crab carried into the touchdown, and it calls out the good ones too, from a buttered touchdown to a well-handled crosswind to a clean hand-flown approach.
474 aircraft, each judged on its own terms
FLARE ships with per-aircraft scoring profiles for 474 airframes across 66 sub-families and 28 categories, from a Cessna 152 to a Boeing 777 to a hot-air balloon. Each profile is tuned to that aircraft’s real reference speeds and limits, with a wind-difficulty modifier so a 25-knot crosswind isn’t judged like calm air, and a tail-strike penalty for types prone to it. Your aircraft is recognised automatically, including study-level add-ons such as the Fenix A320 and PMDG 737.
The entire approach, recorded
From 1,000 ft AGL through rollout, FLARE logs sink rate, G, pitch, bank, sideslip, glide-path deviation, localiser offset, airspeed, and gear and flap state, all timestamped and graphable. When something is off, you can see exactly where and when.
A live view, built for a second monitor
FLARE runs in its own window so it never competes with MSFS for screen space. A live data page shows your flight path, a real ILS cross-pointer read from the sim, wind and weather, and configuration in real time. A touchdown summary appears right after you land, and the full review with score breakdown, instrument trace, and coaching is one click away.
Your logbook, stats, and achievements
Landings are stored locally and export to CSV or JSON anytime. With a free flaresim. io account you can sync to the web for long-term trends and statistics, achievements and per-aircraft mastery, leaderboards, shareable landing pages, and a side-by-side debrief you can review with a friend or instructor. Your data always stays tied to the account that uploaded it.
One licence, two PCs, kept current
A single licence covers up to two PCs, with account-aware handling on shared machines, so a previous owner’s history can be cleared cleanly. Updates install in-app automatically and are included for the supported life of MSFS 2024.

Very Important Note:
The sim by default has implemented an exclusion somewhere around the horseshoe bend thus making all changes done to not appear by default.
Do the following steps to load the addon as intended:
- Open settings
- Click Advance Options
- Click experimental features
- Open Package Reorder tool
- Look for "cli4d_niagara_falls"
- click on the arrow down corresponding to the file
- Set it to the lowest part to make sure it will be the last to be loaded in order for the horse shoe bend waterfalls to appear as intended.
- Restart the sim
