FLY ANYTIME, ANYWHERE
Have you ever noticed that nearly every airport, airfield and many, many bush strips are available to choose from in the sim. But why limit yourself to just airports?
Here’s where my neat scenery comes in: MSFS Autogen Helipads
This tool relies on openstreetmap data and converts helipads from there into MSFS scenery
While converting it takes into account various parameters to represent these helipads as good as it’s possible in the sim.

Features? Here!
It all really depends on what data is available in openstreetmap, but:
It’s able to generate correct shape helipad
Helipads that dont have ICAO set in OSM will have a custom 5-character designator
Hospital helipads have correct hospital markings
There’s a lot of variation between helipads, examples:
Grass helipads will have a white outline around them to tell where exactly they are
Helipads will come with windsocks to help establish wind direction
Rooftop helipads outside of photogrammetry cities will come with a custom helipad 3D model placed on the roof to allow for using them without dealing with MSFS Building collisions that often don’t work properly
Helipads will flatten the area around them a bit, as MSFS terrain mesh isn’t always as flat as real life
Helipads come with a HELIPAD start and a PARKING start so you can start both Cold And Dark and Ready To Depart
Important Note
Due to high amount of helipads, if they weren’t hidden it would be unusuable due to low framerate. I have included a worldmap filter inside of autogen helipads package, that hides them from the worldmap. To select your departure helipad, use littlenavmap or the map on this website, and search for the helipad in the in-sim search window using it’s name or ICAO code.
You can also access the map of all helipads here, or in the userpoints. csv file for use with littlenavmap (which can be found in the zip)

Here in the then village of Harty lived the Žurovcov brothers, regional aviation pioneers who carried out their work and experiments in the years 1909 - 1914. After WW1, the brothers Josef and Vilém returned to civilian flying with an airplane bought from war surpluses. However, their business ended in time due to a lack of funds. The place where the Ostrava airport is now located was used for air traffic for the first time by the German Luftwaffe, which built a field airport here in 1939 after the occupation of Czechoslovakia for the preparation of an attack on Poland. In May 1945, on the other hand, they were used by the first Czechoslovak mixed air division. Then followed a period of inactivity and the land was returned to its original purpose, that is agricultural production.
Modern history begins in 1956 with the start of construction work on the current airport. It was clear from the beginning that there would not only be traffic here, but that the airport would primarily serve the needs of the military. The official start of civil air traffic is dated October 16, 1959, when the TU - 104 A aircraft landed here. The air traffic provided by ČSA included mainly domestic, but also irregular foreign flights. During them, all types of ČSA transport aircraft, whether piston or jet, took turns on the grounds of the Mošnov airport. In the 1960s and 1970s, there was also air taxi operation. The year 1989 became a significant turning point. Soon after that, in 1993, the activities of the military part of the airport came to an end and thus all concerns related to the operation of the airport were transferred to the shoulders of ČSL. July 1, 2004 was a date when the Ostrava airport was transferred from the property of the Czech Airport Administration, s. p. into the ownership of the Moravian-Silesian Region. Ostrava Airport has become a dynamically developing organism. Today, you can meet here airplanes of various carriers, without exaggeration, from all over the world on charter flights, as well as machines of domestic airlines. Ostrava International Airport has become an important partner for the development of the entire Moravian-Silesian region.
Currently, the following companies operate from this airport on regular routes are: LOT, Ryanair, Travel Service and Smart Wings. On charter lines: Bulgarian Air Charter, CSA and others. Among the cargo companies here you can see: DHL Aviation, Uzbekistan Airways and others. Also, thanks to companies like IAC and JOB-AIR Technic, you can meet other beautiful planes at this airport.

Nestled in the heart of the North Carolina’s stunning Blue Ridge Mountains, Asheville Regional Airport (IATA: AVL, ICAO: KAVL) serves the city of Asheville, NC and its immediate surroundings.
Opened in 1961, the airport has seen several renovation projects, including the replacement of its runway which was completed in November 2020. The airport has seen significant increase in traffic over the years - A major renovation project is currently underway to ultimately completely replace the existing terminal, which is not scheduled to be completed until 2027.
The airport offers a great launch point to explore the surrounding North Carolina landscapes or the nearby point of interest - Biltmore Estate – the largest privately-owned home in the United States.
Features:
- Over a dozen hand-modelled buildings with PBR textures and signage including the multi-level parking garage, rental maintenance buildings, fire department and other airport service buildings, GA hangars, and the Signature Flight Center. The Linamar Light Metals building, a prominent building just west of the airfield has been added as it is absent in the default scenery
- The default KAVL scenery has the runway incorrectly positioned to the left of the actual runway. This is where the temporary runway existed prior to the opening of the new runway in 2020. This scenery corrects the runways and surrounding taxiways – allowing for proper RNAV and ILS approaches.
- Animated rotating model of KAVL’s ground radar.
- Animated jetways
- Three hangar parking spots to store your private aircraft.
This scenery represents the airport as it appeared just before the major renovation which commenced in 2023.

Omaha KOMA
Eppley Airfield (IATA: OMA, ICAO: KOMA, FAA LID: OMA) is an international medium hub airport three miles northeast of downtown Omaha, Nebraska, in Douglas County, Nebraska, United States. It is by far the largest airport in Nebraska, serving ten times more passengers than all other Nebraska airports combined, and is named for Eugene C. It is by far the largest airport in Nebraska, serving ten times more passengers than all other Nebraska airports combined, and is named for Eugene C. Eppley, the Eppley Hotel magnate of Omaha, from whose estate $1. 0 million was used to convert Omaha Municipal Airport into a jetport in 1959-60.
The airport occupies 2,650 acres (1,070 ha) and handles about 120 airline flights per day to and from 20 daily and 3 seasonal non-stop destinations. Eppley served 4. 17 million passengers in 2015 (including both enplaned and deplaned passengers).
As of January 2017, Omaha has no international passenger flights. The airport handled more than 4. 1 million passengers in 2014. Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and American Airlines are the first-, second-, and third-largest carriers and serve about 33 percent, 22 percent, and 22 percent, respectively, of passengers.
In January 2016, Eppley Airfield completed the expansion of its on-site United States Customs and Border Protection facility (CBP) to provide greater customs and inspection services for international passengers. While Eppley Airfield is classified as a "Customs Landing Rights Airport" for international flights (officially an "international airport") by United States Customs and Border Protection, there is no regularly scheduled international passenger service; however, the airport does handle international charter and private flights.
The airport is northeast of downtown Omaha in east Omaha. Although the airport is in Nebraska on the west side of the Missouri River, it is surrounded on the east, west and south by the state of Iowa: the Missouri River formerly formed an oxbow west of the land that became Eppley Airfield.
Airlines operating at Omaha:
Alaska, SkyWest, Allegiant, American, American Eagle, Delta, Delta Connection, Frontier, Southwest United and United Express.
Cargo airlines:
Ameriflight, AirNet Express, DHL, FedEx and UPS.

PRODUCT NOTE
Due to MSFS ground photogrammetry engine, it's common to face a few jagged edges on some airports borders/corners. As you may know, if photogrammetry is set to OFF they disappear.
So far the SDK does not provide a tool to handle this properly, and this issue will be present when photogrammetry is ON, whether you use a default or add-on airport.
It's not a big deal, it shows over a small area, but it's there. So it's a user's choice to set photogrammetry ON or OFF to enjoy the flight.
FEATURES
- Highly detailed rendition of Eppley Airfield / KOMA located in Omaha, Nebraska - USA
- Full night illumination
- Native MSFS Dynamic Lighting
- Functional animated jetway
- Seamless integration with default MSFS scenery
- Usage of MSFS SDK FlightSim Materials + PBR
- Usage of MSFS SDK native gITF models

In this package, you will find two highly acclaimed ‘Experimental Homebuilt Sport Aircraft’ designed by the famous aircraft designer and air racer; 'Steve Wittman'. These are the Wittman Tailwind series W-8 and W-10 Models. The W-8 is a simpler build version with smaller engine and more basic instrument panel, while the W-10 Edition is a radical build with a 6 cylinder engine and a high technology glass screen avionics suite. One is more realistic and slower, while the other, the W-10, is more of a exotic version of what one can do with these unique little Speedster aircraft.
The looks of the Tailwind are radical. They are small, tight fitting, sporty looking aircraft with a cowling shaped like a wedge, its perspex windscreen curving up from the cowling like a wing foil shape, making the entire top of the fuselage a 'lift' inducing wing surface. The wings are like a Bellanca. Fully wood construction, from spar and ribbing, to the skins, they have no rivets, no seams, are sanded and finished with a glass finish, making them ultra slippery with windflow.
The package has many features. A high detail interior, really unique seats, Asobo state of the art soundpacks with all their various high resolution sound effects that even include squeaks and rattles, flap airflow sounds, and the list goes on. The seats in the Tailwind are a jump up. In my design of this package, I thought. . . How would I make my Tailwind? And I thought about seats. On the W-8, I have Lamborghini Countach remakes for seats. They fit you comfortably in a very tight cabin, just like the Tailwind. And for the W-10 Ultra, I wanted something futuristic, like these new modern sport planes have, so I went with modern Off Road Sport Utility Vehicle style seats. For the panels, I wanted the W-8 to be able to look 'vintage' as well as modern. So I have older versions with krinkle paint, aged, as well as wood and also carbon fiber. Note that the W-8 Series Tailwind first appeared in about 1954. Very advanced for its time. So I wished to also include the earlier versions, as well as very modern, up to date variants.
Also. . . I wanted to make these 'Adventure' planes. Part of the 'Theme' of this package was to make a set of 'Adventure' aircraft where you could go on a dream journey, like to Oshkosh, for instance. And so I thought. . . They will need 'Tents' and little folding chairs. So I have included a 'Camping Mode' where you click a button and a small ensemble deploys, consisting of two little camping tents, two fold up, ultra-lite chairs, a cooler for food, and your flight bag. There is even a little campfire that glows red at night and lanterns hanging on the wings on the tie-down loops. Flip those on at night for camping lighting.
Oh, and about 29 paint schemes total… I know. I go overboard on Liveries.
These are meant to be radically fun, yet also with some realistic handling and speeds. Not too fast, but not slow either. Steve would want them to be doing their proper speeds, and then some, if you know what I mean. So if you want a steady level plane, this might not be it. This is what I call a 'Dream Build', a vision of 'What if. . . ' where you have the funds to make a really nice home built plane, and this is what it might turn out to be like.
There is a neat manual with lots of screenshots, information, and diagrams for you to glance over. It is in the W-8 airplane folder, in the Manual folder.
I hope you enjoy them. They were made with much love and enthusiasm.
God bless and Amazing Adventures!
